I picked up your accent as well. I am also from Jamaica. I ordered the SILK MINI Pro. I need to take aerial food videos on my stove. I read where you said that the silk mini V would be better. Did I make a wrong choice....?
That's not a small tripod, just small legs. A Manfrotto 209 if much, much smaller with a nice panning ball head like Pergear.

I used my OWN quick release on this tripod. I use the Manfrotto RC2 connectors on all my tripods and monopods, so I added the quick release socket from my own system unto this tripod.
The head that comes on it does not have the option for vertical (portrait) orientations. With a different head, it might, but I would not image it being very stable. In this orientation, the weight is directly over the center pole. I use this for family self-potraits when out and about with my family. I can always crop the image for vertical orientation if i want. I carry this on my bag and if I need to take a picture of myself and my family, I just yank it out and set it down.
Also, is this quick release compatible with the one that comes with manfrotto?
Is it stable if you put it in vertical orientation? For example 5dII + grip + 24-70 lens size combination.
@profroopchan the suction cup works very well on cars (hood). I have used it for that purpose a few times doing videos. All my tripods are from SLIK and they have marked their smaller tripod as DIGITAL as they are more targeted to smaller digital camera. Yes it works on larger heavier DSLR but more of the latter. SLIK has really put thought into their MINIs incorporating suction cups. This is also why they were able to offer the MINIs with ball, pan & tilt heads.

" Yes, the suction cup works for added stability on glass, however, I use this as a outdoor tripod with my family. This is the alternative to putting my camera on the ground, on the park bench, on a car, etc. the suction cup is not going to help me.

@Nivi78 Thanks, I have sewed another velcro strap to the bag, where the head is, so that I strap it by the head as well. It normally tends to have some twist with the original tripod loop on the bag. With the second velcop strapping the head to the bag, it is now perfectly secure and doesnt move around. I keep it on my bag permanently.

@professorfire Yes, this should fit all video cameras .If you are using it for video, I would recommend the Slik Mini Pro V instead. Its almost the same thing except it has a panning arm, so you can pan better with it. For photography, the panning arm is not important to me, so I preferred the Min II over the Mini Pro V.
