Do you have any problems with focusing with the 60D and the Sigma lens combination? I have the same set up and the lens (or camera) appears to miss focus sometimes. Not sure what the problem is, maybe you do. Cheers!

Hey chris! Some advice please. I read on dxomark about this lens. And the sharpness score is the same as canon 50mm 1.8 stm on 7d mark ii? Any thoughts on m6 mark ii? Is sigma 1.4 still worth it?

Great vid! Just wondering as I have a crop sensor canon 80d, do you recommend this lens? Some people online say it's not worth getting for a crop sensor. What do you think? My main lens right now is a sigma 17-50mm 2.8. I was also eyeing the 18-35mm but I kind of want a prime lens.
I hired one, suffered from back focusing problems. Tried to adjust with sigma mount but it made no difference. In fact the Canon focus adjustment on my 5Diii worked better. So I bought a new Sigma and that suffered the same thing. Many people say these lenses are a lottery as to focus issues. I sent it back for a refund.

I thought it was just me, but I was noticing that the 35mm ART missed focus an uncomfortable amount of times. I used it on a Canon 5D for a few months and decided to part ways w/ it because of that.

I am really torn about the 35mm focal length. I find it can potentially create more interesting angles and perspectives than a 50mm, but most of my subjects prefer how they look on the 50mm when I show them all the pictures.

This guy definitely missed focus, which is very easy to do at 1.4 on all art lenses.
I have this lens and I love it! I used it for environmental portraits for my clients and it works well.
Must be a faulty copy. Mine is tack sharp at f1.8 100% crop.

after 1 year and more than 10.ooo photosi must change it. Used on d810 and the biggest isus is focus...colours and bouque are good but lack off consistent focus
What they should say is the model and camera brand because not everyone behaves the same, within the Nikon the lens behaves differently in APSC to FF or a d800 to a d610, d850 to d810, they never mention that comparison.

The camera used; was it full frame with the both lenses? Quick tip! the Sigma 35mm - although it's initially designed as a "full frame" lens actually works much better on an APS-C.
Bad, bad lens.
Very poor review and i dont even have any investment in the lens just looking for a good 35mm. The photo you used to criticize the lens sharpness didnt even look like the focus point had been set right for that shot! Dont criticize the lens for a sloppy shot. This lens has more clarity at 1.4 than most of the competition. period.
more element is not always better, sigma lenses are like nikon g series in that theyre very sterile and flat. anyone can get a good picture with them and they lack good micro contrast.

Hi Matt I know this post is old but what is your views on the sigma 35mm on a Canon 7D ii?
I had a different experience one it comes to this lens: - nikon mount used was terrible, heavy fringing. Coupled with the Nikon d800 poor autofocus and back focusing problem: returned both - brand new E mount + Sony a7ii: no fringing but there was a problem with the camera lcd -Eos RP + new lens: autofocus almost perfect, some fringing but the lens look really soft compared to other SIGMA’s or 24. Can really wrap my head around it. With 3 different lenses i had 3 different experiences. If i had the money i would have go for the Canon 35 L II lens wich is the sharpest and more reliable 35mm

Were you using autofocus while talking? Doesn't yours make clicking sound while autofocusing? Mine does some loud clicking sound that you hear in video.
