What woul you say about the using of that lens on a crop sensor with the speedbooster 0.72? Would it be ok?
no offense but this lens is ment to be for a full frame camera not a crop sensor which will render the focal length to 38.4
I could put this video in a pillow cases and beat a child because it’s so soft it won’t leave a mark.

the lens at 1.5 isnt as soft as you make think it is if your doing photography and have lightroom if u just edit the photos or even just the clarity the lens is super sharp and detailed and the same with the chromatic apperation just select dechromatic apperation and its a beaut

may i know the camera you're using? and is your lens ef being used with a speedbooster? i heard using a viltrox speedbooster on a blackmagic makes it really soft from 1.5-2.0. thanks. great work btw

What a great review! Me and a friend of mine are in the pre-production phase of making a movie, and we just purchased a set of these Samyang lenses for our Canon 80D. We've ordered the 24mm one, 50mm, 85mm and the 100mm macro one for some nice close-ups. I'm amazed by the results since these lenses are so friggin cheap in comparison to many other, especially the bigger brands. Again, great review! Subscribed!

I'm searching for a good 35mm equivalent for my a6000. Did I understand? This lens has a chip that transfer exif data to the files? Or not? I owned two samyang lenses for my a6000 (the 8mm fisheye and 12mm 2.0 - one of my favourite lenses for landscapes) and none of them transfer any data to the files (video or photo). If it has this type of "feature", I'll prefer this - also for photo shoots - to the clicked aperture version f/1.4, that I think doesn't have any sort of confirmation/exif data chip.
