Tipp for your Intro: think it is a Template, but its okay. What i wanted to say is, use a other sound effect. The generic audiojungle voice is a bit Unprofessional. There several sound effects on yt that you can use for free.
I like the production a lot. This is a great review. I wish the sample footage was at 24fps instead of 60 though. The shots and grading are cinematic but the 60fps takes away from that

If this lense is not communicating with the camera so how camera knows what exposure condition of the object. For example if we use 28-135 @ 3.5 aperture Than after that we remove this and put samyang 14 mm manual focus @ 2.8 aperture than how can we cammunicate to our camera about that. Answere Please
it works on Full Frame? without corners?
How much difference in glass is between Cine lense 3.1 and ordinary 2.8. I doubt that I will be dialling aperture during the shot, or even if so graduate dial would not be that important to me.

T stop is not a light that hit the lens, it is light that lens transmiting to the sensor.

just bought it yesterday and i love it.
I am told there is a new version of this lens. The VDSLR II . Any idea if this is a just identical lens with the focus ring moved to be more consistent with other cine lenses on the line. The prices swing pretty wildly on this lens oddly enough. I have found it can drop around 100 in ONE day if you search on Amazon.

I've had a tough time getting any images I would call "Sharp" with the 10mm lens. This is probly the softest lens I've eve shot with. The aperture is amazing on this thing though. You can get plenty of light with it. I can turn ISO down as low as with this than my 50mm F1.8
Oi! I know im little late but im i dillema of a lifetime Would you recommend this lens, 24mm 1.5 , or Sigma 10-20 3.5 for video? No point in reviewing a lens lie this on crop. because youll get the same results of a 14mm prime lens which doesnt weigh as much and can have stabilisation. This is a lens designed for full frame.

Focal distance goes from the sensor to the subject, not starting at the end of the lens.
had this lens for a while for my eos m3. I liked doing long exposure shots of the stars with it and for candid portraits of family members. The huge convex front lens always got remarks haha

More i see your reviews, it gets more and more awkward. I don´t know what is your lens knowledge background, but this lens is horrific. The distortion it shows is absolutly horrible, and very complex to fix in post, vigneting is huge too. I see you destroy Tokina lenses for some CA and don´t see that they are masters in control distortion and vigneting. And you say the performance on this is almost perfect when is very noticeable the distortion and optics flaws? i don´t get it.

i think this review missed a point - the cine lens are not for photos it should be decent video review with samples about the lens. is out there any people who able review lens properly?
I have this lens. and I really dont understand why, but it feels like every time I use it the infinity focus is littlebit different, I have made 2 marks on it from when it was at that point but next time it might be little bit different. and still it seems to be way off from factory markings, its around 0.6 to 1.2 meters.

wait, you incresed from f2.8 to f4. Why does it get brighter? When i do that, it will get darker
My copy is awful, first and last quarter of the frame is unusable and there's so much coma and chromatic aberration. The focus scale is not accurate and paired with the long focus throw makes it really hard to focus (the softness doesn't help either) even zoomed at 14x cant make out where a line is in focus. It was one expensive mistake to buy this lens, the few occasions where it could shine it let me down badly. Yet it my just be my copy thats decentered. Be aware before buying that the quality control on those is hit or miss and the focus scale is almost never on point
Guys I bought the normal version of the lens a few days ago and it's really bad, especially in the corners. Can somebody tell me if this is normal The shots are taken on a Sony A7ii on a tripod, iso 100. distortion looks weird.

Hey Great video! The link to your lens shows the name as 14mm T3.1 VDSLR ED AS IF UMC 2. However, at many places in the internet, I found an UMC version too (not an UMC 2 like yours). Is there an actual earlier version of the same lens or would it be just a typo? I am definitely buying this but just wanted to confirm to be on the safe side.
how come that samyang 12 mm is less wide than 14 which one would you use for video houses, spacey looking interiors etc. thanx in advance

Hey, i am about to buy the lens. I hear that the lens does not have a chip to communicate to the camera. Is that true?
what aperture did the lens use? I have rokinon lenses, but using gimbal, I lose focus very fast, having to redo some takes. Generally what aperture you using on clear days, to have a safer focus to record? Congratulations on the takes, they were fantastic, great content.

I use this lens on my sony a7s but it always bends the corners to some ugly distortion. What do you do about that? I also don't like the sunny flares on this lens. I prefer the samyang 35mm over the 14mm and i'm thinking of buying the sigma 16mm any tips?
