Hi, I have a question, would this lens work on an analog camera like the Nikon F801s?
Hi Christopher I have had this lens for a while now and really love it's photo rendering. I have a D610 Nikon and have been thinking of dabbling in video. Would 'declicking' this lens make handling easier?
manual focus or auto focus ? if in nikon d610 ?

I own this lens and use it some times for my work. Its an absolutely fantastic lens. I am planning to move towards the RF mount system so any comparison with the new Canon RF 35 mm 1.8 lens would really be great.

Very nice review. Helpful indeed. Seems to be an excellent performer in almost all regards. Only weakness seems to be that the bokeh balls sometimes have the iris reflected in them. I've noticed that in several Samyang's. Thanks!

Great lens. Thanks for the top notch review, however, using this on my Pentax I have auto exposure in AP mode and focus confirmation and peaking in live view. Works really well. Thanks again Chris.

well im considering this, or a 7artisan 35mm f1.4. This looks like a lot of glass for the price, it makes the 7artisan look so tiny lol, but are they the same in sharpness?
At this moment the firmware for this lens is the version 4. It means an incredible change in autofocus performance and video capabilities.

Hi sir great fan your channel.. I wanted advice, I own Sony a7iii and 85 1.8. Option 1 : shud I sell kit lens 28-70 3.5-5.6 and get Tamron 28-75 2.8 instead ? Option 2 : keep kit lens and buy samyang 45 1.8 or samyang 35 1.4 instead ?

Very underated lens only negative is size and weight but it's a very sharp lens

Probably my next lens... I have the 85mm 1.4 and it works really well. Continuous Eye AF on A7Rii works well too.

So, you choose this over the batis 40 f2?. Because I remember your revoew of tje batis was kind of negative. I got batis 85 and I was maybe thinking to trade my samyang for the batis 40, just to make a zeiss 40, 85 combo. Gracias!
