The big power brick is because it can power a 85W laptop, so it has to supply 5-10 times as much power as needed for the monitor itself. I also thought - hey that base should be a qi charging pad. Thanks for the review - Ive been wanting one of these since COVID started and theyve only just come back in stock here in AU. I think after your review I will get one .

Is it a problem when a 32 or 34" curved computer 4K monitor has a 60Hz And not higher rate? I see some for 128Hz at a higher price. What Effect can the 60Hz rate Effect such a good quality resolution. If I'm not mistaken for k's best resolution why would it have 60Hz? and what's the difference between 60Hz and 128Hz? Will buying A4K with all the Bells and whistles that has the 60 Hz rate cause motion blur Nas like ATV or what would it do I'm using for editing in light gaming

I'm selling one of these after 2 years usage. I liked it when I bought it, but it's VERY outdated now. I've used this for programming and general use (not gaming), fonts are not clear and are noticeabley bad when turning away from a retina screen to this. The USB-c power delivery has been great, but it's looking old and tired now, that giant chunky platform is just ugly in my opinion (maybe 2 years of looking at me get's tiresome too)

Hi do you know if it can use both thunderbolts for different devices ? My setup is a mac on the one thunderbolt and and windows laptop on the hdmi. I cannot seem to use both windows laptop and the Mac on both the thunderbolts ports. When I use the PIP it won’t allow to use both thunderbolts. Any advice would be appreciated thanks.

Thank you so much for this brilliant review buddy. You helped me to decide what monitor to get for my home office (using a windows 10 laptop). I was looking for the Philips 346B1C and the Samsung LC34J79. As an Apple user and huge fan of their minimalist aesthetics, I really liked the look of this Samsung. It looks great, front and back! But it's greatest feature is the ultra wide screen and it's brilliant colors. Wow! I am way more productive with this screen and would choose a curved ultra wide monitor over a 2 monitor set-up. It's overkill but it also works well as secondary monitor for my 5k iMac. Highly recommended! Thanks again, just subscribed to your channel.

Glad to see the thunderbolt cable is included, they are expensive anywhere i look for them. BTW, you can ditch your power cable from your mac, i see its connected =D
