I bought Samsung Curd Maker model no-RT28T3A43DX/HL and serial no 04GU4PBN100231 which is a much hyped Curd Maestro model on all media channel.This product has a unique defect and I wrote about it at all levels including CEO as a last resort but all levels have responded with default reply that it is default feature.But nowhere is mentioned in website or catalogue.The Defect is whenever one set the freezer temperature at -15'C by choice and in case if power supply goes off and resumes the preset temperature is bound to change and temperature controller chip lost its memory.It always shown as set on different temperature say any of -19'C or -21'C or -23C. Then one has to manually set the temperature everytime to its own choice.In case you forget to do the same then it will keep consuming more electricity. Think of the situation if one is out on vacation or leaving house locked for few days and power supply goes off so your preset temperature is bound to change and would lead to more consumption of electricity due to change in temperature from -15C to any of -19C or -21C or -23C Also calculate this on average tenure of refrigerator for 10 Years in a household or may be even more and then you are going to shell out extra and even more than extra bucks on electricity almost equal to your purchase cost of the refrigerator for Rs 28K look ing at cost of electricity per unit for 10 years. That means the BIS energy level of 3* should should actually be 2*.This is an hidden catch.Because 3* energy is at compressor level and not at energy consumption due to fault in refrigerator in its functionings.
