I'm actually trading in my S22 5G for this phone, that's how excited I am. I literally got this phone earlier this Summer and I love it but I looked at the display model of the Fold 4 at Best Buy and fell in love with it instantly.
Gawd I'm so excited about this phone. I pre-ordered it and it's not supposed to come until Sept 1st.One big gripe I have, though, is that it's being released right before Android 13 but it will only be supported upto Android 16. That's only 3 major software updates rather than the typical 4 on the other model phones. And frankly, 4 major updates isn't enough. I got 7 years out of my prior phone (iPhone 6S) and had updates all the way. There's no reason why this phone should be software obsolete just after 4 years.One minor gripe is that it doesn't have 10x optical zoom. I really want that feature and for a phone this price it really should have it.

I don't care if you're thumb can make it across this narrow front display, Samsung commercial guy. I want the front display to be the same 6.9" & 19.5:9 aspect ratio that the S22 Ultra is. But the inner display will be bigger & more square, and? IDC. Make a Z Fold4 Ultra Samsung. BTW I still pre-ordered it like have every Z Fold. But if Xiaomi would make their Mix Fold available in the states, I would buy that instead. My biggest disappointment with the Z Fold4 is that they kept that super outdated 25W Max Super Fast Charger. Which at this point can't even really be called Fast Charging.

The problem most family members and close friends of mostly everyone has iPhones; if you send a video from a android to a iPhone its comes out blurry and small because apple knows android has the advantage so they throw in some tricks witch there allowed to do they own apple so thats one big problem people have to consider.

Ill stick with my Fold 3 for another year, still has a good camera, battery is amazing with fast charge. I have the original plastic strips on the edges & hinge still on mine.

Just upgraded to the 4 from the 2, the fact the main screen camera disappears, all be it pixilated is amazing. That little black circle was very annoying

This is my first experience with a Fold phone. Coming from a Note 10, I noticed how much easier it is to carry around. One curious thing, you said you hear the phone open and close? For the life of me, I can not hear or feel anything while doing this?
Great review.. I have been using it more and more, than the S22 Ultra.. I still think my 13 Pro Max has the best speakers, and battery life.. I haven't had the bugs, you have had with apps restarting.

I 100% wish we would STOP comparing the Z Fold phones, or the Flip phones to the iPhone 13 or 14 Pro Max. This phone, Z Fold 4 and Flip phones are in a niche all by themselves, there is no iPhone to compete with this device, so please stop comparing the weight and size to other manufacturers, as for me it just appears that you are all iPhone Fan Boys. There are only a couple of Chinese manufacturers that are making anything close to this device and they don't hold a candle to these devices, not even close. As far as the price goes, until a manufacturer starts making a competitive folding or flipping phone, Samsung is going to charge whatever they please. So, repeat after me, these are flip and folding devices and we won't compare them to non-flip or folding devices. THANKS!!!!!

What apps are good on iPad but not Z fold 4? iPad doesn't have Instagram either. Android is now full of tablet apps for drawing and what not. Most used apps are also optimized for the fold.
