Those toms are tight as fook. I literally go 1/4th past finger tight on my toms. I like deep thunderous drums (for metal)

I used a crusty old SBR ride for jazz once surprisingly good from my perspective. But it was in a gym so not a studio sound but nice for cheap cymbals.

I think my videos are being normalized or something when I upload them because the gain always turns out too high after they upload, thus the extremely bass boosted music at the end. I'll try and fix this for next time

had a pair of these for many years. Very good cymbals for heavy hitting like myself.
I was surprised to read that The Bathhouse Studio outside Kingston, Ontario (owned by The Tragically Hip) had a set of these on their equipment list. I've know the Solar line to be cheap ... but they sound pretty good

These actually don't sound terrible. They actually just sound like cymbals. Very basic ones.
Better than the Meinl HCS line by a long shot for sure...
