I’ve been shopping for a ride cymbal, and I think I’ve settled on the HHX complex. Whenever I go about choosing a cymbal I take my time and listen to as many as I can. Usually when I hear the right one it’s like love at first sight. I just know it when I hear it. That’s what has happened with this cymbal. Now I need to decide whether I like the thin or medium and 20” or 21” better.
These complex cymbals are a winner. Can't wait to get a whole set. I think my 15" 2002 sound edge hi hats would sound amazing with these crashes.
HHX Complex sound very good, but still not as refined and sophisticated as Paiste Signature.
Damn pearl kit looks fantastic. I love the HHX COMPLEX
When the reviewer doesn’t want to talk, and just wants to play, you can tell they’re feeling a product. I had a chance to hit some of these at my LDS yesterday and I think I spent 5 minutes tapping and crashing 4 or 5 of these and just wow. These cymbals will sell because wow the sound was so nice. would these be good/ loud enough in a live setting with an unmic’d kit? I play alt rock, indie, sometimes punk. If not any suggestions?
I bought a complete kit of Complex cymbals with 15" HH 17 18 19 20 crashes and a 22 med ride in my hometown of Montreal. I play pretty solid rock and it was love at first hit! Thank you for this great video guys and all the other ones. 🇨🇦and DCP ROCK!

Yesterday i tried 20-30 hats without watching any brand/ finish/ style size or price. The only hat that blew my mind right away was rhe 15“ hhx complex. Mission accomplished
They sound amazing and I'm a Zildjian and Paiste guy. Those hats and the rides sound perfect. They could blend into any rock or jazz situation well. But I'm losing my mind over those hi hats.

I've been using AAX stage cymbals for live music for years. They sound great but are a little aggressive for studio work. I think I'll get a set of these HHX complexes, they sound incredible even without EQ.
Now I'm not trying to be a picky rich kid, but the old logo is just soooooooo much better, the new one is just "eh".
I have been a Sabian fan all along. Not sure where some of the disdain for them comes from but I have loved the AAX and HHX from first hit. I think Zildjian has lost their way a bit. Still a great cymbal company but IMHO Sabian is making some great instruments.
I am wondering how these compare to the Zildjian K Sweet cymbal line?

Having two rides is actually pretty cool.
The only problem is their ridiculous fucking price,Paiute too are too much for 500bux a cymbal. Sabian legacy 22tide is almost 550bux. Hi hat even more. The Jojo mayer 19in fierce crash is amazing but twice that of most. Go for used old zilljian A bigger rides and thin crashes. UFIP are nice also.

My choice out of the three is the O-Zone.
Like the "Raw" demo. So tired of everyone micing up cymbals just to make a buck off a sales lead. I'm a huge fan of Meinl, Classic Customs both Brilliant and Dark. But for classic rock and even 80's metal..these are where I need to lean. Thanx for helping clear the "Brain Wash" that's blocked me from choosing AAX or HHX..ordering a full 6pc set now.
The hhx series actually is machine hammered minus a few models from the legacy series. They lack the complexity of a hand hammered cymbal and aren’t as dark compared to the HH series

My relationship with Serbians is blizzard. Some times I love my sabian cymbals and sometimes I hate the very same cymbal I loved just a day ago
I think the explosion crash is one of Zabians best. I have a 17 " and it's the perfect crash. Great video.
The evolution 18" reminded me of my AAX 17" explosion crash. i wonder what a 17" evolution crash would sound like ..

I have it tied up between aax studio and the evolution they have nice bright tone with the Evo being a tad more complex. Sabian knows crash

AAX is supposed to be higher pitched but sound really low here.
I’ve got an old Pro series 18” medium crash I got for pretty cheap that rules. I like the HHX stage crash the best out of these

I have the HHX Evolution 18" and it's my favorite crash cymbal... My favorite cymbal being my 21" HH Raw Bell Dry Ride. Best sounding Ride and Bell I've ever played in my life. I've been a lifelong Zildjian guy, still play A Custom crashes, K Splashes, I even have a 16" Oriental Trash and 14" New Beat Hats but no Ride Cymbal can touch the HH Raw Bell Dry Ride and I tell you what, if I had to go all Sabian, the HHX Evolution line is fantastic. If I ever upgrade my Hat's, I'm going to be doing a tedious LOOONG testing process on the 14" Zildjian K Light Hats, the 14" Zildjian K Custom Sessions, and the 14" HHX Evolution Hats.
