Lol !! THE worst designed vacuum cleaner to date I think . It doesn't matter how much you clean the filter you feel like you are literally cleaning again after 10 minutes use . You are very patient mate ! Lol

I've had to deal with the 'screaming' cylinder vac issue before. Usually it's a piece of paper or other debris trapped in the hose.
With vacuums like that it's no wonder the EU stepped in!
