Hey Carl, just found your channel and just got the Rokform mount, love how it looks, but have a question. I have a 2021 Harley Sport Glide and the bars are 1.25" and none of the rubber spacers fit. The Kit however says it fits 1.25" bars without any spacer, but was wondering if that would scratch my handlebars? Any thoughts on how to remedy this? Maybe fashion something out of rubber material or something, wasn't sure, just wanted to see if you had any thoughts about using the mount without the spacers as they indicate. Thank man, great info!

just got mine today. I have 1.25" Carlini gangster apes on my bike and the clamp doesn't fit with the rubber grommet. seems like it'll work without the rubber but kinda disappointed

It seems like the plug is for seasonal rides when your not riding during the winter so you don't just have a hole in the case

Hey Carl, just got the same Rok Form-you demonstrated. Had a real problem after I twisted the phone case on. I put a lot of pressure trying to twist it off, then went to you tube to watch an install. Yours twisted right off without much effort, so I tried again with a little more force. It did finally twist off but slightly damaged the little plastic tabs/ears. I thought I broke it. It seem like it’s ok now but definitely did a little damage. Not real impressed with that part although it seems solid now. JV

The only good RAM mount is one that has a Rokform ball adapter on it.

You should go back and do the rokform vs the quadlock pro that came out. I'm sure they bridged the gap in quality.
Nails down absolutely Quad Lock is the one I like. The problem with both of them is unless you have Apple or Samsung, you get just an adaptor that you have to just tape to your phone's case. I'm not willing to trust my phone at 80 MPH to a piece of tape. Wouldn't it be easier (like, 2 seconds) to just plug in your phone to charge it rather than to drag it out of the case just to use the wireless charging?
the quad lock case is overall much smaller and lighter which is definently a deal breaker for me easy choice for quad lock

With the rokform you can purchase the case and mount separate and purchase a Ram ball mount , which has the same easy release lever as the quad lock. Also uses a RAM mount system so you can REALLY control the phones position better than either mounts stock options.
Now can we get a review of the Q-Mount phone mount vs the Rokform
Decided to go with quad lock because rokform is just a little to much for a phone mount system

Quad lock has fixed the button issue. They’re very responsive and easy to use now. Loving mine, on my second one now due to a phone upgrade.

I've been in "accidents" with the quadlock. All 3 times my phone flew off the bike. The second time my phone was obliterated. 3rd time my phone ended up lost in the water in a ditch and the phone mount snapped. In my opinion, just spend the money and get the rokform. It's cheaper than replacing a phone.
Wireless charging works on my rokform case. I do wish they had a vibration damper option like the QL

I am grateful to you for a concise report comparing the two. I hate when people waste our time with 'opening the box and telling us what we can see'. Look at SP Connect - same price as Quadlock but with an Aluminium + Steel fittings made mounting systems.
Sooo I have had the quadlock for about years amd been through a high side at 35-40 mph and my phone have flying off the mount. Though my phone was still safe. I mean I'd still suggest them
