I have a single one of these (2 ohm version, wired in series for 4 ohms), and I put it in a sealed enclosure a little bit larger than the recommended size (0.65 ft^3). I've noticed that is just doesn't thump or have any low bass...it does great with mid-bass range, but when I play a song that has low bass, it really under performs. I'm comparing this subwoofer to a pair of advent maestro floor standing speakers with 10 inch woofers...AND THEY HIT HARD AND DEEP. Do you have any idea what I might be doing wrong? I know the frequency response range is 45-250hz, but in a sealed enclosure, is it possible that it just can't get that low? Thanks very much.

I have a P1S4 12 with amp ~300rms.. Gain adjust about half. When a listening music little bit longer, subwoofer center warm and sometimes something else smelling from her. What ideas ? Amp to much power, or maybe because a brand new sub.? I have about 3 weeks.

hey everyone does a custom box give better quality sound?
Just traded my L5 kicker 12in for two of these in a ported box along with a Memphis m3 in a ported box.
Haha hell yeah I got 2 10 inch subs running off a crunch amp sealed box shit sounds clean and punchy crisp sound . And that song fucken bumps get sillyyyyyyy . Can't wait to get ma audio amp soon .
box was actually perfect for those subs, I had a SBprobox and it was too little back pressure, they're not meant for big excursion mainly punchy quick centering bass, hence the name I suppose. In that sealed box they sounded better than I'd have thought, nice tight bass great for rock or anything with quick bass response.  Sealed boxes are definately the way to go with these given their power handling and lower P2P excursion.  Nice accurate subs if you're looking for a little bass for rock, electronic/techno, etc. and will get low when required but roll of fast.  OK budget build if you can find them cheap, I practically gave them away.
I have mine in a ported box n they sound great same subs I only have mine on a 600 watt amp n they sound perfect
