There is a mistake in this problem, life(hrs) of bearing 1 at simulation no 7 will be 1000, Not 1100. Because random no 10 lies in the range of 0-10 and its bearing life will be 1000.
please take it down or the students will solve like this and lose marks. Applause to the effort though
calculation time for 3 bearing is 40 mins in the proposed method. What this lady has done is, just for the conventional method so the solution is not complete. And the bearing 1 lifetime in 7th cycle is wrong it should be 1000

The calculation of downtime is incorrect. It should be 8*40 *10 (since at each of the times, all three bearings were changed together and instead of taking 20mins for each, we should take 40mins for three as specified in the question)
please, i'm a little bit confused, in the repair person cost you said it is = ((8 x 3)x 20 x 30)/ 60 but the problem said to change three bearings it will take 40 min so the cost of the repair person = ((8 x 3) x 40 x 30) /60 and the repair person cost for one bearing = ((8 x 1) x 20 x 30)/60
