If you want your kickers to last longer consider using HICONTROL instead of HIREBOUND as they last longer than HIREBOUND and still an elite level pair of kickers

why tf use an indoor stick i broke that shit every year when i played inside and those were only pushes if someone hits a good shot it can easily break that stick, not smart, just use an outdoor stick

Personally anything other than obo is horrendous, especially kickers and leg guards, I found I have greater control and protection as well asmaneuverability especially when single stacking it allows you to glide rather than stick to the surface, at my club we have all different kits and the keepers using obo show better skills as its more compliant than makes like to and mercian leg guards and kickers mainly

I played with a full body protection and I took the arm protection off because I always felt my arms were restricted in movement. Now I play with the chest protection. Yes it hurts getting hit on the arms but it's worth it to have better motion
Or you could use and outfield stick as I now use. I can get a nice rebound and can clear the ball with it better if I make a diving save

Hey jay!! Quick question....I got my first goalie helmet job and he wants some letter ....how do you create a stencil that isnt a square ie the same height? What can you do to create a profile for the chin /jaw area of the helmet that the words can be stuffed into I hope you know what I'm trying to say! Thx man!!
Thank you. Although I've painted about 3 goalie masks before. I have one I want to paint for myself the right way and this will help. It's great too that now the paints are water soluble.
You can probably get those CSA stickers made cheap from China that way if you do screw one up you can replace it

The current CSA and HECC certifications are invalid if Vinyl or paint is applied to Poly-carbonate masks. If a mask is made of Fiber Glass or Carbon Fiber you can customize it without losing the certification. No one seems to enforce that however, but if you get injured, there might be an issue.
Do you recommend using primer?
Very thorough video. About the stickers: As soon as the surface is altered the CSA certificate is void. To maintain it you would have to send a painted mask to CSA and have them do destructive testing on it. You would then have to guarantee the same paint, process, etc. every time to keep certification. The other way is to get written consent by the helmet manufacturer of what paint to use. But they won't because they have their own paint departments. I chased a few for months. Only brand that gave me a pass was Calcoat out of Quebec (not even sure they're still around or not). All they said was "Use a paint designed for marine or automotive fibreglass and gel-coats". Pretty vague. I would just tape the sticker over, paint the bucket, uncover the sticker. To the ref he couldn't tell if it was aftermarket paint or not: he'd just look for the sticker. As for the customer, I had them sign a waiver acknowledging that the CSA certification was now null and void. Great video. I am definitely going to look for your painting tutorial to compare to what I do. Always room to learn or share!

I've recently become inspired to do a motorcycle helmet for an upcoming charity's silent auction and your youtube channel was the first place I knew I needed to check out.As an inspired newbie, are there any tips tricks or suggestions for doing motorcycle helmets? I'll be sure to tape off the DOT label for sure. Also, if I have printed images of what I want to put on the helmet, how do I transfer that onto the helmet so I can cut out the pieces? I guess this will be covered more in your second part of this video, but I figured I'd ask.Any insight would be greatly appreciated it!!

This is awesome. I am a new subscriber and I am also an automotive painter getting into airbrushing. I have been drawing for along time but I'm trying to transfer my work to airbrushing and make some side money. My question is what if your client wants the bauer logos still? do you make new ones with a vinyl cutter or do you mask them off? I have lots of question lol since I don't know many people that airbrush and the ones that do won't tell me bc they say they don't want to lose business. Thanks for posting these videos
