Hello, nice video,, I have some home VHS movies that I would like to convert to digital HD 720p or 1080p and was wondering if the mp4 files this converter creates are upscaled to 720p or 1080p if not maybe ,,.... I have a sony VHS to DVD recorder combo and it has an HDMI output which upscales DVD to 1080i (( not sure if it also upscales VHS)),.. do you know if after connecting the Sony HDMI output to the HDMI input of the capture box, will the upscaled 1080i captured image be recorded at 1080i err ? I haven't used the sony in a while but I remember the HDMI outputs a 16:9 image and the VHS recordings are 4:3 so that would be a problem if that worked as it would record an upscaled 1080i stretched 16:9 image instead of the original 4:3....BUT for that I also found a $33.99 AV to HDMI converter that has a 4:3/16:9 output switch which could work here also to capture an upscaled 1080 content in its original 4:3 format. ( amazon title starts as " 2 Port AV to HDMI Converter" I presume that this device upscales its HDMI output, but if it the converted files are also upscaled mp4 1080 files would be awesome.
This video is not complete, I was hoping to see the transfer in action and then the final results in the computer, hum.

Did you run into any audio/sync or framework issues? I always find when I gamble on a device, I end up with a one second delay with sound and video and all my money is wasted
Hi guys! I bought the Video 2 Digital (older model) to convert Sony Handycam tapes to digital. Do you know if the HD Video converter by ClearClick improves upon the quality of the video being converted? Since you guys have tried both, did you noticed a difference in the quality of the video converted? Just curious if I need to box and ship the one I just bought back. TIA! Hi, sorry if this has been addressed. I was wondering does it work with mini dv tapes? I have bunch of dv tapes sitting for decades and I own a mini dv camcorder. Does this have some kind of limitid recording? With cameras you are only allowed to record 30 min with simcards
You probably need to go HDMI out from the recorder box to the screen.
