I've recently purchase hammers with larger heads (not heavier). Some years ago, I was doing a bit of construction and the elbow was giving me trouble so I had some control issues such that a larger head would have really helped, IMO. The elbow is good now though I am not pounding nails. That said I use large rubber mallet these days ;-)

I have a Stanley I beam broke a claw was replaced under warranty, is nice, after obtain a ESTWING can feel a quality difference, upon driving a post in the ground tried a 32oz Ball peen it mangled in few hits, switched to my ESTWING a 22oz framing hammer it did less damage to the small garden post drove the post in further per strike, it would swing faster hit harder with less damage.
