I'd give you my 1060 oc edition because of that last message
Whatever you do do not buy that card. Ive had one two years and recently found there were mis manufactured ones that were supposed to be connected to the power supply and never had the connecter installed. As such they never run properly.
this video card suck i have that
Hey, I am thinking of buying card but i am confused between R7 240 4gb sapphire edition or Zotac Nvidia Geforce 730 4 gb which one is better there is hardly any difference in price?
Why is this recommend after 8 years
ah yes, because making gaming parts for people that can't afford better ones is very stupid
See you after 7 years.
that 240 is (G)DDR3, the others are GDDR5
why is this in my recommendations lol.
Great time to get in recommendation
What's funny is that my PC still has the R7 240 from the factory. I am on the hunt for small form factor/mini cards. My PC is a HP Pavilion 500-339, and space is at a premium. The 260x or other models will likely what I will look for. Any suggestions? Perhaps the GeForce 1030? I am not a gamer, but I would like to be able to view content from youtube and Netflix at 1080p or better, without lag or choppy visuals. The only games I play on my pc are NFS Most Wanted Blacklist Edition, and Dungeon Hunter 5, and Diablo II and III. For general gaming, I have my Xbox for that.
I got one for 12 bucks
Low end is okay if it's cheap enough. Not everything is for high end gaming. They would be ok for just a work, schoolwork computer and low end games.
Me- Is using this card in my pc rn
pc specs: Core i7 920, r7 240, 16 gb ram, 2tb hdd
other pc which I mostly never get to use: XEON 8 CORE BEHEAMAOTH, RX 580, 32 GB OF FRICKING RAM, 1TB SSD, 1 TB HDD
Anyone getting this old Video recommended?
I can't belive that 7 years later I'm considering buying one of this to resist throught the big gpu shortage of this decade. Dam Nvidia, dam AMD, dam miners, dam scalpers/bots
Me on 2021 who still use this graphics card
He acts like people buying this card were trying to play modern warfare on ultra settings or some shit... Most people buying this just needed an extra HDMI jack on their small form factor PCs.
Yes but you see... These are the only GPUs that are still in stock. Probably for good reason, but still... Can I play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on a GT 1030?
I picked up the Gddr5 / 128 bit variant for $10 at my local CEX. Great for TF2!
Why is he wearing a ryzen processor on his wrist
this is my favorite youtube video of all time
he is huffy because its beneth him to not talk about high end shit. how about its not made for gaming dumbass....

Laughs in R5 230
It was only a couple years ago (I'd say around 3 maybe 4 at the point) that my parents ordered me a Cyberpower pre-built from Walmart. For something that is supposed to be gaming-oriented, I think it's pretty foolish that it came with one of these, even considering that it was a budget build. I've only recently started to build up knowledge about computer parts and of course, I learn that my system is rocking one of these when getting a new or used graphics card at a decent price is nearly impossible :/ Needless to say, my folks were ripped off.
For games that support crossfire, two of those cards would give reasonable performance.
I have one of those in my pc right now, I plan on putting a 1660 super in it tho
The thing is its survivable, i play games with it, and i actually think my cpu is the bottleneck, i play on a fx 4300.
you talk to much
I still have my MSI R7-265 in my backup computer. Still does a decent job. AMD still has the drivers updated.
Would be good for a light build for a student. Would play older games easy like off GOG. Not bad for the price.
So I got played last night. First pc build, spent all night wondering why the gt 730 2gb ddr5 I bought kept registering itself as a r7 240..I wound up here. And now im sad. Lol
i remember having r7 240 still in 2018 before upgrading to a gtx 1060 6gb later that year, I dont remember if I had the 2gb ddr3 or the 1gb gddr5 version, but back then i ran fortnite in season 4 and up to like season 6 or 7 and i got avg 60 fps on 720p competetive settings, it just shows how fortnite got alot more demanding since then
have a gt1030 now had a gt 710 and gt 950
I play DDO, iron blade, Raid Shadow, Neverwinter, Path of exile those cards will do on low to med settings just name a few
what people dont seem to get is that the Radeon R7 240 is a "Lightweight" gaming card. It was NOT created to match a GTX's performance. It was created as a cheap, lightweight alternative to play very light gaming on games from 2012-2017 or so. Trying to play graphically intensive games like RDD 2 on this card is just a setup to make it look bad. Whereas if you want to do the opposite You could play the worlds most popular PC game GTA 5 at around 40 FPS, which is better than or equal to a playstation expierence all on a card you can buy for $25-30 or so on ebay. I like Timmy Joe and his videos, but why sh*t on an old budget card that is 7+ years old and cost under $100 when it was new, because it cant play a game that came out yesterday? It doesnt make any sense. The selling points for this card is it will go into any PC reguardless of the power supply and also it is Direct x12 and has decent driver support. If you have a small low profile PC and cant put in a powerful graphics card because of your budget etc this card is a good choice to allow for some light gaming. It will play GTA V and Fortnite pretty well and these are the 2 most popular games overall right now. I have the Asus 2GB version of this card in my old Dell Optiplex and I only play 3 games (GTA V, NFS 2015, and Fortnite) and it plays all 3 pretty well and I paid like $25 for the card!
That is the ultimate easy feeling. Sandbox. You would simply keep laughing if it would explode. 100% no worries with this card. If it dies, it dies.
the 2 gig of gddr 3 was like a gimmick because with the bandwidth it has it cannot utilize them that much...
