I love this video. Over the years I've accumulated a personal collection of engineering books. Many of them I saved because of the great resources I found inside, but other many were just "stored for later", for If I ever need that topic in the future... but I don't know if they are good and I'm just storing noise. This kind of video is really helpful!
I would never start with this book if I am being serious about smps. The only book that made everything clicks is the one by Ericksen. With that said, this one has some practical info but not really worth the price for me.

Switching Power Supply Design, Abraham I. Pressman, Keith Billings, Taylor Morey, ISBN 978-0-07-148272-1 I had borrowed the first edition back in the early 90s. Found it to be a good reference. Now own the third edition.

When I went back to school in 2015 we actually covered parts of the 2nd edition. Just skimmed the surface though. I should really get the hard copy to keep as a reference. Keep sharing the books with us. It'll be nice for me to start building a library of quality materials.

It's not your Kindle. It's poor-quality image scans of those specific parts. It looks like they saved them as .jpegs with way too much compression. This is a fantastic book! Thank you, Eddie!
Great review! A small trick you can use to avoid butchering a name is to search for audio or video where a person is saying his/her own name, often do you not find the exact same person you are talking about but often can you find a person with the same First name or last name and listen to how they say it. :-)
Excellent Eddie! I love book reviews on power supplies. Just downloaded the 3rd edition (PDF format). Using Acrobat Reader on my PC monitor...I had no trouble reading the figures. However, like you, I prefer paper books when reading technical material like this. Think I'll buy the 2nd edition. This book even includes PCB layout for power supplies...nice!

That's the Kindle trying to render the fonts clearly . My problems is that mathematics when it comes to magnetics being so darn complex. I don't know how you are to going to explain this on video I real understand that topography of switch mode power supplies , but those transformer designs are way beyond my capabilities
