Do you need an adapter to fit Olympus lenses for Panasonic mirrorless camera body?
Hi Tony & Chelsea, Samys wants to sell me a Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX85 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera with 12-32mm Lens & 45-150mm lens. Thoughts?
I'm one of those crazies that uses old FD lenses on my GX85 but they actually look amazing for video.
This whole video is insanity, pure lies and on Canons pay roll. You should be removed here reported.
If you can't take sharp picture with m43 you are incompetent
So do I get this right! A speed booster on micro 4/3s lenses will render the lens at its natural focal length?
I have a conundrum I have the 40-150 and the 12-40 Olympus lenses Micro Four Thirds. Purchased in 2015 and 2016. The problem they both don't auto focus. I have tried them both on 2 different camera bodies both OM-D .I have never done any updates for them could that be a factor . My cheaper lenses I had for my first OM-D I got in 2012. they will auto focus. What should I do will be taking them in next month. Any help in trouble shooting the matter?
The weird rattle inside your Sigma 30/2.8 isn't a quality issue as such - it's how Sigma designed this entire series (19,30 and 60/2.8). Don't ask me why, but they all have floating elements which only stop rattling when powered up. And the ART versions of the 19 and 30 are the same as the originals internally. I found my 30mm a very sharp lens. The 60mm is better still.
I hope there is 2020 update on this.
Hi Tony,
I have just seen your review, and I find it extremely good and helpful. I would be interested in an update, looking at some of the more recent lenses, e.g. PAnasonic 8-18mm or the Olympus 12-100mm f/4. Kind regards, Erwin.
I think this video needs an update
I gave you a 2nd chance and listened to you and boy was it time wasted. You are so bias and so often incorrect.
For anyone watching this video in 2020 please keep in mind that both Panasonic and Olympus have made giant steps in lens offering since this video was published. My point being that unless you have an on-hand supply of high quality APS-C or Full Frame lens you want to use on you Micro Four Thirds bodies, it makes no sense to buy these lens and these expensive adapters when native PRO MFT lens are available for less money these days.
Good thing I had my abacus with me!
sounds like the speed boosters or active adapters are a waste of money. By the time you factor in the cost of the adapter you might as well just buy a good lense made for that system. I guess they would make sense if you already had a bunch of lenses, or a really expensive lens from a different system already. However for someone like me just starting from scratch it seems pointless to mess with.

So, how can I get super sharp pictures (like what the long silver lens) on my Lumix g7?
Would this work for G85 too?
from what I understand f/1.8 stays 1.8 in terms of light gathering but becomes 2.6 DOF equivalent
thank you i had no idea about the different adapters need one for my 18-35
hi brother,,,

Will The Canon EF- S 10-18 MM Work with the Fotasy Adapter on My lumix G7?
Need help!
Thank you. One aspect which you did not cover is - how good is the optical alignment of the lens on the body, using different adapters? Are the surfaces parallel, is the optical centre of the lens in line with that of the sensor, how good is the capture of the excess light from the larger image, ? After all, those optical issues are how we judge a photograph.
Caution! The Metabones Speed Booster SLR Tom likes is only designed to work with certain micro four-thirds camera bodies and Canon lenses. In fact Metabones warns that some camera bodies could actually be damaged physically by attaching this device. Before shelling out the $600-700 to buy it, check out Metabones' details under "Limitations": Tom, do you have a favorite, I keep buying simple adapters but there is lots of wiggle and play in the adapters, any suggestions would be great, thank you for your video!
Is there a new adapter for canon RF to Panasonic m43 ?
Great video SLR Tom. Everything I needed to know about M4/3 adapters in one place and no guff. Cheers and subbed.

Hey! I have two Olympus Digital Zuiko kit lenses. What adapter should I use if I want to use them on my Canon EOS M50 Mark II?
I have a sigma 56 mm micro 4/3 ,can i use the M-11 adapter to mount it on a Sony A6000?
hey Sean very thorough video. Thank you so much! So I was curious if there is a drop in filter adapter to place between Mzuiko lenses on a micro 4/3 olympus camera that you can drop in ND filters?
Alright, PLEASE help me out. I accidentally bought the Nikon F mount versionof the Sigma 18-35. I have a Panasonic G85 I wish to connect it to. I have purchased two incorrect Viltrox adapters and I'm losing my mind. Please, someone point me in the direction of making this work. Need F mount to Panasonic (M43.)
Hi thank you so much for this very useful information. I have one question I mistakenly bought a lens not compatible with my camera. and its impossible to return it by now. I bought a sigma 18-35mm 1.8 DC for SONY A mount but my camera is Canon EOS 90D which is EF-S Mount-( totally did not fit) Could I still find an ADAPTER between my camera Canon 90D and this Sigma lens which Sony A mount?
Thank you so much

Sony e mount to m43 adapter plz
I like seeing all the Minolta to MFT adapters. I assume you have these because of the consistent quality of the Minolta vintage lenses. Is there another reason though, related to MFT and Minolta?
Adapter for nikpn
Tks! Do yo know if there is fuji lens to olympus adapter?
does fotodiox have addapters for E1 body? where can i check for them? thank you much.
Hi Sean and Fotodiox team, I've a pretty specific issue regarding Mamiya Sekor SX f1.8 lens for M42 mount. Do you have an adapter/s that will enable me to use this lens on my Micro four thirds GX80? There is an aperture overhang, which means it won't fit on my usual m42 to mft adapter, plus the notorious aperture pin issue on this lens. I've looked online and the only solution appears to be filing down parts of an adapter and taking the lens apart to remove or alter the pin. Any suggestions or help would be most appreciated!
I just picked up a cheap sigma zoom 100-300mm 4.5 - 6.7 DL (Pentax). Do you sell or recommend an adapter to mount to my Panasonic GH4? Is there even on available. I also would like to know if you have a mount for same lens but for a Canon 50d. Thank you
Hi - was a very nice and informative presentation!
I have a whole bunch of different NIKON lenses, incl. latest 24-40 and 70-22/f2.8 fully automatic prime lenses and older 200mm/f4 MicorMacro stuff. Witch adapter do you recommend in oder to get full automation on the very small and handy Olympus PEN-F?
Can you please give me the link of universal mounting kit

Do this lens alone can get close enough to show the texture in an insect eye?
I got the Raynox DCR-250 but decided to get the Raynox MSN-505 which is more powerful at x10.
If anyone has purchased the Amazon Slide rail mentioned here, and only need the rail to move in one axis, you can detach the lower rail with a 5mm Allen Key (Hex Key) and just use the top rail by itself. The same mounting holes are in the top block as are in the lower "normal" mounting block. This reduces the risk of movement and makes for a much sturdier platform.
Personally I find it basically impossible to use the Raynox 250 for anything at maximum zoom on my camera. The depth of field is soo small, we're talking like 0.2mm depth of focus at most. So about the only thing you can photograph is very flat things that are aligned with extreme precision. Of course, I'm using it with a super zoom lens that has up to 1440mm/60x zoom. Only about half that is usable, so ~700mm/30x. I can basically make a small bugs head fill up an entire 20 megapixel image at the full zoom, but most of it will be out of the field of focus no matter what. Of course the maximum my camera can do is about F8.
Hi Graham, trying to get to grips with the Raynox 150 mounted onto my LX7, have purchased a slide rail but would like some info on camera settings please,, ie do I use AF or Man focus, is short or long zoom the best,, any hints or tips would be great. Thanks, Roland.
Great video. May I ask what you would recommend to me for making videos of moving planets /moon /birds /sun and other telephoto distant objects? I use nikon p900 and would need something to help me with the shakiness of the videos. At this zoom it's hard to follow an object in the sky without shaky footage. Much appreciated for any advise
Subbed and liked. Have you tried this on a full frame? does it vignette a lot?
Graham Houghton great video! I have the Canon sx50 HS do you think the Raynox DCR 250 would fit on the lens without the the edges of the lens acting as a vignette? P.S I have a tripod but it doesn't slide.
Thanks so much!
Dear Graham, I would like to say thank you for your effort on making such informative and helpful videos. Reading your user's manual, following your hints and tips I have already reached such results in macro photography with my Lumix FZ200 and Raynox closeup lenses, which I could not imagine. And I'm still learning and slowly purchasing more pieces of equipment (the next step will be the macro slider), so hoping for even better quality photos. Without your help I could probably not build up this gallery:
Thank you ever so much
Thanks Sir It's useful .
Stepdown ring adaptor, lol had my raynox for ages and not thought of that
