What is TTL? (vs Manual flash)
NEEWER TT560 SPEEDLITE OFF CAMERA FLASH CANON | SHEILA SHIMMERS
REVIEW | Flash for NIKON DSLRs w/ I-TTL, Manual, S1 & S2 | By Altura Photo®
TUTORIAL | Camera Set Up for External Speedlite Flashes for CANON DSLRs | Video
Hi , what is the difference between iTTL and non-TTL AUTO Flash modes in Nikon SB-910 flash? The both modes are using “monitor pre-flashes”.
I have purches younguo 568 ex flesh you help me for flesh operating setting for flesh
Good knowledge thanks
Brilliant video👍🏻 Thank you 😊
Always buy a top end flash. Quality is always there.
nice job
My flush is manual... Anyway it is a very good video~ 😊😊😊
Very informative...
why ttl flash is not good for interiour photography?
Damn! Your're good!!! I'm in the video business for over 30 years and now have a photo headshot gig...so am now learning how to use a flash for 1st time ever. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Thank you. Now I have some idea at least of what I'm trying to do. You did a great job of explaining this. I will be sending several of my friends to check this out, instead of trying to explain it lol.
Great explanation. Thank you!
Thanks - well explained!! :)
It was great the way you drew the picture showing pre-flash bouncing and going back into the camera so it could calculate the correct flash level. Thanks for the info, now to decide which third party flash to buy in 2020 :)
But why does TTL mode (on triggers like the Xpro) have a power adjustment option? I thought TTL was supposed to set the power for me?
So well explained, thank you!
Really helpful, thank you
FYI: I-TTL = Information (Nikon) E-TTL = Evaluative (Canon) P-TTL = Preflash (Pentax, the TTL pioneer) flash metering.
Still valid in 2020. Thanks a lot for the concise and clear explanation.
What flash will support on canon T7
I was able to get 4 of these flashes as over stock for about $20 a piece and I love them for studio work off camera using a flash meter. In slave mode I use them in soft boxes and 60 inch umbrellas no problem. The only time I'll put it on my camera is to trigger the other units. I'm retired and photography is my passion. I'm also cheap as hell and I buy everything used. For you I would recommend getting an old (like me) auto flash unit like a Vivitar 285HV or a Nikon SB28 (Yes I said Nikon and I know you have Canon) Auto flash has a flash output sensor in the flash that will quench the flash when the correct amount of light is reached. Look into auto flash. It's an old technology that still works and is very accurate. You set the sync speed, desired ISO, and the aperture on the camera then the aperture on the flash. Now you're all set. No more test shots for the correct exposure. The Vivitar 285HV was the life blood for wedding photographers for decades because it works.
This was a really good tutorial.
Is there an option to leave the flashlight on permanently? Without having to press the shooter button to turn on the light for night time video filming?
WOOW THIS VIDEO HAS HELPED ME ALOT THANKS IVE BEEN WONDERING FOR THE LONGEST HOW IT WORKS I EVEN JUST ORDERED A WIRE LOL

This video helped me so much! You explain things like a pro. My morning started with coffee and you tube videos so I can finally take my speed light out of the box. So glad I found your channel. I have a rebel t5i and went with Godox around the same price point. So I can beat the s@#$! out of it. :) keep up the great work. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.

Nice video the pics of your dog shows it’s a good flash. Just got mine today. Worked first time with my Panasonic FZ1000. It’s way better than I thought a budget flash would be and so easy to use.

I am new to the Digital.. I have an old Rollei Beta 3 and a grip for my old SLRS.. well this will not work with a Canon 2000d. Is there a way to use a flash pistol grip with the Canon 2000d? Or does it have to be mounted in the hot shoe? If in the hot shoe, what brands will work with the 2000d? I do not want to spend 300.00 for a flash.. thanks
My Canon 700D flash just stopped working, and it still pops up.
I have a question...can I use 2 different speedlites with my canon t7? Example...because I have a canon t7 I dont have a center pin. I'm looking for a trigger but it's hard to find one. I have a sunpak speedlight df4000u that works perfect but I also have a random speedlight which does not work if it's on my hot shoe. Will I be able to use my sunpak speedlight to connect to my random speedlight? I want to try to make it work b4 purchasing something expensive.
Thank you. This was really helpful. I thought I’d bought a faulty Flashgun!
Can you make a quick video but with the Canon eos r. There isn’t “flash control” in settings.
i have a canon eos rebel t6i and i purchased the ESDDI speedlite and it won’t connect to my camera. everytime i go to external flash function it says this menu cannot be displayed. incompatible flash or flash power is turned off and the flash is on with fresh batteries and the flash works. i’m also in manual mode like the tutorial says. help please!
I am using Canon 700D with a Nissin Di600 but when I am on the "external flash func. settings" I can only see "ETTL" and not click on it. Then I have "first curtain sync" below. Do you know why it's not working?
I'm so sad that after I recieved my external flash it seemed that it doesn't compatible with my camera canon700d .
Thank you thank you thank you
What does it mean when it says (menu not available. Flash is off or unsupported, or an accessory is attached
Hi I have a Conon ESO 200 DSLR, and I am looking to contact a Neewer TT560 Speedlite Flash to the Camera. I have attached the flash to the Hotshoe, and tightened it up. When I select the 'External Flash Function Setting, I am getting a message saying 'Menu not available. Flash is off or unsupported, or an accessory is attached'. I have checked this, and the flash is switched on. Would this be a compatibility issue? Thanks
Is this compatible with canon rebel t6? As well as wireless flashes? I have a rebel t6 and I want to buy a flash. Idk if it's compatible.
Hello ! Thank you so much for this video. I have a question. I have a canon 6d mark ii and I connect it to my external speedlight TL 600 with a cable sync and hotshoe. Why is it not working on live view mode ? I'm shooting food photography so it's really not convenient to shoot through the viewfinder... Thanks for your help !
Wow! This is very helpful. Thank you.

Hi. so i was watching the tutorial but when I go to menu, click on flash control, go to external flash fun. setting, it shows "menu not available. flash is off or unsupported, or an accessory is attached:, but my flash firing is enabled. what can I do to activate it?
Hi can you please help? I've bought a TT560 Speedlite for my Canon EOS 4000D, but it doesn't want to sync with it, in the Flash control menu it says "Menu not available. Flash is off or unsupported, or an accessory is attached.". And I've tried in in multiple modes, aswell as tested the flash, but still not working. Thank you ahead!
Thanks for the tutorial.
This option is not in my camera. For reference I have a Canon SL1. I can't seem to get an external flash to work with it. ☹️
Does YN460 works with Canon 6d in self timer ??
