Neewer makes really good stuff.. I bought a lot of their stuff when I was first getting into photography to save money and was planning to upgrade later. But the stuff holds up great and I've never needed to upgrade hardly anything with the Neewer name on it

No, No, No! You missed some vital information. The ring light has four options. Entire light stays on all the time; Entire light flashes when triggered; Left hand half of the ring flashes, in order to give a shadow to the right of the subject; Right hand half of the ring flashes to give a shadow to the left side of the subject. However, for the left and right options to work correctly, when the ring light is fitted to the lens adapter, there needs to be a way of fixing it so it doesn't move around loosely, as you can see it does so in this video! This means the left hand or right hand flashes will not be symmetrically vertical as they should be. This was the reason why I visited this video in the hope of finding out how to secure the ring light with its power lead pointing at the bottom.

Everything seems to work EXCEPT the flash. Pilot works, turning the light on and leaving it on also works. Flash, left, and right, do not work at all. I also have the Canon 70d. Im guessing I have a faulty product.

yeah but what type of rechargeables did you have? I'm pretty sure if you have nice high MaH batteries there wouldnt be an issue
just bought this flash and it only works on the one bar (power). little disappointing. If set more then 2 bars, it resets it's self. very unpredictable.
Hey! I have a Polaroid Macro LED Ring Flash and my ø58mm adapter ring isn't screwing in properly to my Canon lens. Do you have any idea what the problem might be?
i have saime flash & i use the alkalin batry  & good but my the rechargeble batry have a 1.2 volt  the problem the alkalin batry 1.5 volt .
You can see the battery go down with each flash....it’s your batteries! Plainly obvious.
i also am having issues. mine was free so no loss BUT..i cant get it to flash. it will do the light function occasionally. i know it works with the batteries, but the flash part wont work. no idea why. i also have new batteries in and it shuts off in abouy 10 secs
does it has STROBE light function?? for video
Bad thing is that You cant use them in video becouse this rings make loud noice that is recorded in video.

I also own this product, and have had same issues...i think it is just cheap in its manufacture. I used 1.5v 2400mah nimh rechargeable batteries and though mine never turns off like yours, it did however produce a high pitch scream when used, which got louder when i turned up the intensity of the lamp...however..i took it apart and found the cheapest pcb available inside....with very, very poor soldering of components...so after 5mins with a soldering iron and leadcore solder, (leadfree is used in its manufacture, maybe this was problem)..poor connectivity was ruled out and seems to have fixed the problem....happy days...i did get what i paid for though and budget was tight at the time.....i do however recommend yongnuo products...have spent just that little bit extra since for these and have had not one problem with this brand, hope this helps anyone.

i have the exact same issues....it is crap...
Rechargeable AA cells have a lower voltage than normal alkaline ones (1.2 V vs 1.5 V).
Why not try it with non-rechargeable batteries?
