1 year with brown rice, and being vegan, still have lots of acne. Maybe a little less. But brown rice has better mixability, better taste, and makes the thinnest shakes of all the protein types. Which means you can drink huge shakes with 50g protein no problem. So yeah that's why I use brown rice. If you just add a little sweetener to the shake it helps a lot with the taste. Maple syrup is delicious. Taste like milk.

i know that some pea proteins absorb lead and so thats why im hesitant to want to use them regularly, but does rice protein absorb heavy metals or are they essentially just normal and healthy? is there any other negative / unhealthy things we havent considered about rice protein? I think it’s important to note that no proteins like this, whey, soy, pea rice etc should be your sole source of protein. For me I just want some protein to add to smoothies or shakes and this will be fine. It supplements but does not provide daily requirements. If the ingredients are pure, why make such a big deal about it unless you are Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The Sprouted Brown Rice Protein Amino acids profiles are actually looking better than the whey profiles.
Is your friend a vegan? If not a good whey protein would be best. If your friend is a vegan they are best w/ blended plant source protein such as Garden of Life Raw Protein or Nutrafusion Plant Fusion as they have better amino acid profiles than rice alone. Hope this helps.

It is in the sense that supplements are there to supplement what one does get enough of from diet. Some supplements such as whey protein should be looked at as a food as it has many benefits beyond its amino acid profile and is a food.
