They look EXACTLY like the backbeat pro 2s. These are older? Idk the BBP2 are the best deal you can.sometimes still find. I've gone through 3 or 4 pairs. They best bose QC25 in low and mid range, barely last the highs.
so I use this plugged to my nintendo switch via 3.5, I can hear the game but my friends can't hear me, i pressed the mute/unmute button and it doesn't work now I'm confused as to why it doesn't work

They have sidetone (you can hear yourself when speaking) - it has weird electro-sound and there is no option to turn it off. There is only low / medium / high settings. Even on low it is pretty loud and annoying. I have headaches because of it and it is really irritating me. Older version, maybe only because of older firmware have this sidetone off or not available, but there is no available downgrade of the firmware.

I’ve been testing the Plantronics 8200 side by side with the Bose QC35ii. It would seem I have a bit of a dilemma, the Bose are fantastic with noise suppression both passive and active. The sound from the Bose to my ear (playing some laid back Isley Brother ‘Summer Breeze’) is good if a little flat. The Plantronics in comparison gets no where near for noise reduction passive or active. To be honest after using the Bose I thought the Plantronics were faulty so I got another pair. Sound wise I think the Plantronics are a little more dynamic and I much prefer them. However when it comes to using them for voice, the Plantronics are miles ahead for clarity in both directions incoming calls are clear and outgoing your voice is well isolated from background noise. The person I called from my busy office mentioned how good they were before I asked. So in essence, if we say the use case spectrum goes from business use to listening to music in fairly quiet environs you will need to decide where on that spectrum you sit most of the time and what you find more important. If you travel often on any public transport and value quiet above all else then the Bose QC35mk2 are going to be extremely hard to beat. If you are constantly on business calls from noisy places (like public transport hubs) then the Plantronics will make sure that you hear and are heard clearly. Me, I’m smack bam in the middle. I love how isolated I can be when wearing the Bose, hardly a peep can get through, however when on a call it’s not so good and I have to raise the volume of my voice. The Plantronics when on a call is perfect but when travelling too much noise gets through. Oh and comfort wise I think the Bose just about shades it as they feel lighter and have softer cushioning, thinking about it that is probably what makes the passive noise cancelling better. Which one will I keep? I had decided on the Plantronics, but just put on the Bose while in front of the tv and that silence is golden, but then played some more Isley Brothers and the Plantronics are sweet. No way can I afford both. I have no idea which to go for as I know I will have regrets no matter which one I pick. I’ll be stuck in an airport with screaming kids and wish I had the Bose to block them out only to get an urgent call and wish I had the Plantronics when the caller can’t hear me above those very same kids.

Is the mic noise cancelling as well or just the audio?
What worries me is that if you live in a warm climate the sweat might damage them, unless the materials are first class.

Better sound quality on 8200 and muuch better noise isolation on Voyager UC Focus, as odd it may sound.
Surprising to me that I really disagree with some postings about the 8200 UC microphone quality since I am first interested in using for home office phone calls and second priority listening to music. I don't want to be disturbed by my environment with nearby activities becoming part of my phone call or workflow concentration and I don't want to be a nuisance with my music over traditional speakers. Both the 8200 and Focus mic sounded pretty good in general. I fully agree with CatchMeIfYouCan about the bassy sound and muffled audio plus I heard some digitized artifacts. However, I fully disagree that this is a good thing on a phone call for the recipient(s) - although fully intelligible, I think it will be distracting/artificial/weird voice audio to the recipient. I thought the Focus performed more naturally and preferred in your comparison. Contrary to Maikeru's post, I like the 'tap on microphone' test. It gives me a solid perspective of what will happen when I adjust the headset during a call. For the audiophile who is generally a primary music/podcast one-way audio user - I can understand this test is a don't care. The mic test is valuable to me. i also wear glasses and have some bad experience with some headphones causing pressure points due to my glasses. Would love to see some comfort reviews on headsets for those of us that are not candidates for contacts or have perfect vision.

I like the sound signature of 8200. Boomy output although a little bit muffled but well compensated for bassy sound. It as if 8200 is a having a wired connection :-)
the microphone quality is surprisingly good despite the lack of boom mic on the 8200uc Sennheiser (EPOS) have 3 models similar to the 8200. that would be a nice comparison if you have access to these . the EPOS adapt 360 is less than half the price . in a big corporation. it would be a good idea to standardize more than one style to make everyone happy. for example %90 would get the on-ear headset like the focus and the rest would get an over-ear.

lost credibility - the microphones are best in class. Bose and SONY are horrible for calls, they pick up everything. The microphones on these are good at only picking up your voice and cancelling other noise.

It is okay, worth a shot, just received mine (company headset). I used the Sony MDR-1000X (that was my previous company headset, but kept it). Lets compare: Okay so it is a bit comfortable more than the Sony MDR-1000X. The Sony MDR-1000X gets WAY louder, without significant distortion. This one has some distortion when you max it out. Noise cancelling, that was actually shocking for me, since the 4 year old Sony MDR-1000X performs significantly better at noise cancelling. Also the "Transparency" mode is way batter on the Sony MDR-1000X. The controls, obvious win for the Sony MDR-1000X since it has touch control, its like a 10000 times bbetter and comfortable. Another huge benefit is the actual hard carry case for the Sony MDR-1000X, sure this one has the "bag" but that literally does not protect anything more than scratches ( but tbh it is a nice fabric). Idk overall my plan was to give the Sony MDR-1000X to my gf but after a day using this, Im not sure anymore, the 4 years Sony MDR-1000X feels better in every way, well expect call quality. That is an obvious win for the Plantronics, and I also love that it has sensors and stops/starts the music / youtube video when you put it on, or down.
