Best Headphones I ever had. And with aptx codecs they just CAN'T be compared to other headphones for video use. I am looking to buy new ones because mine are destroied. But I used them to run outdoors, at the gym and everyday to whatch tv for 700+ days. It's understandable :-D
I updated my iphone IOS, and my phone no longer recognizes my headphones, any ideas on how to fix this?
I have Audio-Technica m50x, Bose SoundLink II, JBL Everest. These sound the best for enjoying music. They are a bit bassy, but I listen at low volumes, so that's good.
Are they good for TV?
I spent a month researching and trying out headphones. I bought JBLlive500, Bose Soundlink 2, and these (for $120, 150, and 180 respectively).
The Backbeat Pro 2s were by far the best sounding pair. The ANC isn't great, but all the functions and comfort make up for that. I regret dropping 180 on the Bose because of the common misconception that they're the best. The Bose are comfy, and sound ok, but overall I think BBP2 are the best of the three I got.
As for JBL.. they can lick a hairy nutsack. Big, bulky, yet still uncomfortable to wear as they feel too tight. The entire interface with them feels awkward. I sold them within a few weeks.
Good review.
Do they sound better than m50x
BOUGHT mine for $75 christmas... 2018 off amazon
noise cancelling on these headphones sucks.... i'm wearing them at the moment sitting next to nattering grannies.... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
Well this review sucks. Not once did you wore it just to see how it looks and fits on you
im not a audiophile but i disagree with your sound quality and battery life rating. i have the special edition,
and this headphone is really awesome but not the best. 7.8 is a bit low .
This review came out almost 3 years ago. The question I have, is will there be a Backbeat Pro 3? I already have the BB2, and I can tell you, they are great. You can even pick them up for less than $150 CAD on sale. I'm looking forward to see what they can do with a new version, although truth be told, I won't be picking them up, because the ones I have are still working fine.
It's $150s now
Plz tell me about bass?
How to remote ear pads
I've just bought these and there're excellent but mine connect only to a Bluetooth transmitter connected to my HiFi via optical cable therefore non of those controls ie pause, next track, open Mic etc work as they would if connected to say, a phone or tablet Bluetooth to Bluetooth.
Does anyone know if I can use these as a pc headset? (will the mic work through bluetooth or wired on a pc?)
Is there any headphones in 2019 to replace these. I need some aptx LL over the ear bluetooth headphones for gaming, but these are so ugly.
Can we use anc while in wired mode ?
This or sennheiser pxc 550
I have these and Bose AE2 SoundLink II. The Plantronics sound much better. Not even close. Better bass, better soundstage, much more subtle textures. The Bose sound very flat compared to these. They are a bit bass heavy, but I prefer that because I listen at low volumes a lot.
You're an idiot. You never talked about sound quality. You have zero street cred.
noise cancelling seriously sucks on these headphones.... wearing them at the moment sitting next to nattering nannies.
i'm wearing these now... sitting in Costa Coffee... got the headset for $70 last year in the US and now they're £240 in the UK... these headphones are rubbish in noise cancelling. I can literally hear everything now.... pointless. Battery life is good though.
I just got these and I'm so impressed by the sound but they are SO GOD DAMN UNCOMFORTABLE THEY JUST MAKE MY HEAD AND EARS SORE!
Its sound better then fiil diva?
The Sennheiser pxc550 I think the first series is now $200 because they have the pxc 550 2 ready for preorder.
So, is a Back Beats Pro 3 coming any time soon? It's been almost 3 years since a new one has been released, so I think it could be rather soon. Would love to see another review if that's the case.
What phone is that it looks clean
lol the scene at 1:55 where you seem disoriented like morty when he tested what true level is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-wbWGwZ7_k
hello. sound is better than bose? since the bose sound lazy does not convey anything to me. thank you
These would be great headphones if you could just disable all the features.
As it is, every time you lean on something, the big buttons on the side cause them to do something random and annoying, and they go through phases where the slightest change of pressure causes the sound to cut out, or worse still, stop playback on whatever machine you're listening to.
Amazingly annoying - laptop upstairs... doing dishes... then the fucking things randomly cause the player on the laptop to stop, so you have to go upstairs to turn it on again.
Headphones identical to this that ONLY received bluetooth and did nothing else - no weird little buttons, no volume-control, no big buttons, no fucking "features"... they'd be 1000 times better than they currently are.
I am looking for powerful noise canceling headphones that are affordable, the most important thing for me is excellent noise cancellation to drain out crowds, loud music and chewing. Will these headphones provide it, if not, can you recommend other headphones? All I want is affordability and active noise cancellation, I also need the headphones to cancel out noise without music playing as well.
I can really recommend these as ANC over ears in the below US200 class. The design is clearly a matter of taste, but the sound profile is decent (very direct, fullsome, with slightly exaggerated bass that goes away once you turn on ANC), they have enough resolution for more sophisticated music [You can't test headphones just on pop or hip hop], decent volume (despite only 92db!), great functionality, solid build. The ANC is okay: It cuts out low frequency noises on the go, but doesn't affect voices much. If you don't want to spend 350 bucks on the Sony XM3 (which do sound better and have more effective ANC), the Pro 2 are a good choice.
Hey , will the anc works in wired mode ?
These or pxc 550
"Not everyone wants to spend $350 on a pair of headphones."*looks at my QC15 Bose* "and no one wants to do it twice."*still looking at the same QC15 years later* Yup, I agree. Should have bought two pair when they retailed for $249. One for the wife, and one for me. Removable batteries, last for ever.
Does it work with devices that does not have NFC?
Whew! They ARE quite hideous to look at, aren't they? In my quest for new ANC headphones, these come up in searches a lot. Nice specs. And they support AptX LL! Not even the Bose QC35 II's or the Sony WH100MX3's can claim that! I just couldn't see myself wearing these out in the world. They're SO big and ugly! Thanks for the review. Great job, as always.
Of all of your "over the ear" headphones, which is the best for call quality and audio?
Thanks for watching! Not the headphones for you? Check out my other headphone reviews here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLruCn1lUfdbyi2zd_ALg4FOmutBjeubaW
How loud are they? A lot of bluetooth headsets are lacking on volume.
nice review!!!
How they perform on gaming?
how are they vs Bose Quiet Comfort on ear head phones? thank you
For wireless gaming and low latency aptx, These or Sennheiser 4.50?
i want headphones with aptx ll but for some reason doesn't seem to be many , i'm not completely sure if the sennheisers have it. lol
Toilet squad ...lol

Saw this video, and just had to subscribe
Amazing review 👌
Which one you recommend between JBL Live 650BTNC vs Philips PH805 vs BlackBeat Pro 2
Usage - Web Calls & Music
Much better sounding than my Bose SoundLink II.
Hihi....is it good wireless gaming for note 10 plus on call of duty mobile? Sound will lag ? Tq sir 🥺🙏🏻
I'm confused between this one and the latest akg 371 or 361 BT , what do you think I should go with?
Are these made in China?
What would you recommend for conferencing primarily?
this vs Sennheiser 450bt ?

Are there any other Bluetooth dongles you would like to recommend? Avantree dongle which you recommended to other people is not available in India. Btw, love your videos man 😁
The crit over the 'hard shell case'...struck me as a little strange. Do you not have the option of the Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 "SE"? Comes with included hard case and in a better color than the regular version.
Hi, quick question. Intending to use this as a headset for video conferencing as most of us are now working from home. Worried that Bluetooth connection to the laptop will be sketchy (surface pro running windows 10, webex/skype/MS Teams). Do I need a separate Bluetooth dongle or can I use the inbuild Bluetooth connection? If all else fails, I will just get a cheap wired headset with a mic boom instead.
you crack me up!!!!!
People should just buy the special edition because the color looks better, and it has NFC for the exact same price now
I also have the Boltune BT-BH011 upgrades. For $80 they have some of the best noise cancelling you can get. I was sitting in the middle of a truck stop with 200 rumbling trucks with their reefers running and as soon as I click them on everything went dead silent. I'll be interested to see the comparison between the Plantronics and my Boltunes. The Boltunes sound better with the noise cancelling on.
I just got my gray special edition in the mail one hour ago and I'm charging them at this moment. I see that the Special Edition version were $249 before but right now you can get them on Amazon for $149 and they come with a sweet hard carrying case
I have the PLT 8200. I really like them. Only thing is the ANC which could be better. You guys think its worth upgrading to these?
I have owned some of those headphones for a couple years now and they are the best sounding headphones I have ever owned. They have a very balanced sound and when the bass does hit it will have you taking the headphones off to make sure something else didn't just fall onto your house. There is a lot to be said for powered headphones. It's like they have their own headphone amp built in and the sound stage is very good and everything about the headphones works like it should. Their look is a bit more refined and not screaming Beats and looking gawdy. They just perform the way you would want some high end headphones to perform. Oh yeah, "details". When you listen to music with these headphones you are going to be amazed at how you are hearing details in the music that you have never heard. I mean subtle nuances in everything that you just don't get with cheaper headphones or earbuds. These headphones have been out for over a couple of years so I'm not a Plantronics salesman or anything but, Travis' review is accurate at how good they are. They are a lot cheaper now than when they just came out so even more reason to try some.
I have Bose SoundLink II, a couple of JBL, Cowin E7. These sound the best, by far. Tight bass, crisper highs, better separation, better soundstage. I like the lower level noise cancellation on these. Very usable features. A bit heavy though.
How open they sound when you switch of the active noise cancellation? Would like to have open back wireless headphones but those are hard to find.
Hey Travis,
Have you noticed the headphones pausing intermittently while watching movies ?
Love your vids, keep up the good work.
Thanks Travis ,
Alex
Loved your review man. I have the 1st gen of these and was looking at the 2nd gen. you helped me out :)
They’re shit. They can’t even communicate with your phone properly. You put on a song and it plays max volume even tho your phone is at 50% volume. You try and turn down the volume on your phone and it stays at max volume for about a minute before it finally goes to the volume your phone is at. It also connects to your phone then unconnected then connects again. Phone one connected, phone one disconnected, phone one connected ffs Volume never matches the phone.
4:03 Talk about buyer's remorse. I was thinking of getting the Soundcore Space NC's but went with the Q20 and it DEFINITELY kills the bass with ANC.
Hey Travis how u doin. I was wondering which headphones you recommend, these Plantronics or the taotronics bh0-46
have you tried the Sennheiser 4.50BTNC? how do they compare to these?
Incredible headphones but they're so uncomfortable.. Now I need to try sell
So are the pro 2's better than the pro+ ? Thanks and Cheers!
Didnt know Ghost Face Killah made this kind of vids !!! zuuuuuuuuuuuu
review BackBeat FIT 6100 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones for gym people
Review BackBeat Go 810 plz
Two years after purchasing my Pro, the seam on the ear cushion fell apart. Plantronics are replacing with a Pro 2
