Hello there. I got myself a 49-key about a month ago. At first it worked great with my DAWs. The last two weeks it had strange behavior, it switched off by itself after some time of use without me removing the USB cable. Now, it has been a few days and it will not stay powered on after I plug it in for about ten seconds. I do not know why this is happening, I kindly ask you if you know anything about this as I checked online but cannot seem to find someone with the same issue. This made me want to not buy anything from Novation again.

it's a sucking on the tongue kind clicking sound (like sucking on a mint) that makes me stop this video. Sorry.can't watch this. Too bad, because the material seems interesting and I thiink he knows a lot. ah well.

this keyboard have midi in and out and no one talks about that! I need to know if any one control other instruments via midi and how to use the sliders and buttons this way! I am not a computer guy and at my age I doubt I will be, nor am I willing to carry a computer or lap top with me so I can use this controller. Thanks for any information.

Considering whether to get the Nektar Impact LX49+ or the Novation Impulse 49. Both have good faders, knobs etc (even though Novation has 55mm faders vs 30mm from Nektar), transport and so on. The big difference are the keys. I checked the Nektar out and even though they are dynamic the keys feel a little plastic vs the semi-weighted keys of Novation. Also the Novation is much older than the Nektar and I'm wondering if this has any influence on the actuality of its drivers for Windows. I used to have enormous problems with my old controller (M-Audio Axiom 49, never again!) in this field. The price is not a huge dealbreaker as the difference between both is not too big. Compatibility with Reason is assured by both, but I'm worried by the lack of official support on Nektar of Ableton Live, which I also sometimes use. Any ideas/advice?
Which keys feel the best? Those of the blofeld or this one. I wanted to buy the blofeld with keys but I'd rather have 61 keys to my disposal. And can it control the blofeld desktop version?

2 things It does not have: dedicated program change buttons and power On/Off button. I don't use the rest of the buttons (except for the DAW controls).

I'm so torn between the Code 61 and Impulse 61. I need a live keyboard that will last. The M Audio feels so good to play but the Impulse has a track record of reliability. I saw that you prefer the keys on the M Audio, but in your opinion how much better is it than the Impulse?
I noticed you had the M-Audio Code 49 a while back. I have that one now and I am thinking of returning it. The pads on it sort of suck if you ask me. Also, looking at this one and the MPK249. Any thoughts?
I love mine. I used to use M-Audio midi keyboards (mostly Axiom) until I got my impulse 49. I won't go back to the Axiom series.

Thanks for this video. I use the Impulse 49 in combination with the Ketron SD40. The operation of the sd40 (sliding) on the Impulse seems very functional to me. How did you set that up on the Impulse and the ketron? You would help me a lot with that.I am also now experimenting with Native instruments on the Impulse. Just got this keys recently, beautiful feel keyboard but just couldnt connect with ableton properly, i think the firmware needs to be up to date. But works on. Standalone programs. But then this was meant to be used with ableton. Just felt disappointed in that

Have you tried transmitting clock via MIDI OUT? Source being MIDI In, Internal or USB? I cant get Impulse to send clock data to any other device via MIDI OUT
