Korg Volca Keys Analog Loop Synth Keyboard Reviews from YouTube

Top 3 reasons Why I love the: Korg Volca Keys | Sound Demo / Mini Review
Is the Volca Keys Still Relevant in 2021?
Introducing KORG volca keys
Korg Volca Keys - Sonic Lab Review
10:30 is coming to me from a different planet!
Love it, its on my top list now.i love jamming with korg volcas Keep on jamming positive vibes
I'm wondering if this can be plugged into a Werkstatt. I have the keystep, too. I'm able to plug the keystep into the werkstatt, but I don't know how you would link this to it, Maybe the Sync out? Thanks!
No sabía que el Soy_Pelos hacia unboxing
Great job dude, you are a true musician on these things and I think that comes across strongly and what folks appreciate the most, hearing music instead of beep bloop, I almost passed on your vid, glad I didn't, cheers man, excellent work and tutorial.
oh man! finally I found such useful review not as these dope smoking electronic geeks ) I know that 3 years have passed since you've published this, but man, I really appreciate what you did, thanks and greetings from Ukraine to you and your daughter )))
Awesome explanation and examples
Great vid. I love my Keys with some reverb or delay mated to a Keystep and Digitakt.
Does the sync output work in any way similar to a MIDI thru? Could I synchronize my Keystep with my Keys through the Keys' sync input and at the same time the Keys with another Volca through the Keys' MIDI output? Hope I'm being clear.
Love my keys so much I'm watching a review of it.
It's a third one - you also did one on Electribe2
The sounds in the first half of the video are so similar to something French 79 would produce. I love it!
Can u tell me how u powered the keystep? Adapater or by usb?
Very interesting vid, would like to ask: is the "flux" achieved by putting a certain number of subdivisions between the steps? Is this what's happening in the non-quantize mode of my Drumbrute? Is it the reason live record on my Keystep is useless to a guy like me, because its sequencer has no such feature? Thanks for any answers! I wasn't sure if my inability to use the Keystep to live-record a nice sequence had to do with the fact that it didn't have a metronome or the fact that it was always quantized.
I like the keys for it's brassy tones, simplicity and small footprint. I have other sound modules/synths, but I still find my self using the keys more than anything else. Especially when used with the a good reverb, I get lost in the sound.
this is about to be my first synth :)
Great video man! You were going off. Loved how you showed what this thing can practically do. Learned a lot more in this video than reading through the product info online. Thanks for showing how it can sync with a pocket operator too. Loved those spacy tunes you were bumping around the 10-minute mark.
I agree about the sound. It's causing me a have a Volca choice dilemma. I'm trying to decide between the this one and the Modular. I like the more experimental aspects of the Modular and it would definitely suit what I'm doing. Lack of midi is off-putting but I can get around that with the sync feature. In fact, I probably need the Modular a lot more than I need the Keys, which should probably make my decision easier. However though, I just think the Keys sounds so bloody good! Every time I've managed to convince myself that I don't need it I see another review or someone using one on YouTube and I'm back to square one lusting over the bloody thing. There's just something about the sound that really appeals to me. Ultimately I'll get both of them, but can only get one at the moment so I'll have to decide. Tough choice.
Niceeee! Wich Volca do you recommend, if I'm gonna buy a Korg minilogue?
Great demo of what this is capable of. Goes beyond the obvious.
I think the mixture of no presets and limited sound design make thing a great synth fundamentals machine for beginners and a fun cheap synth for experienced people who don't want to shell out big money for true analog sound Furthermore, having everything limited like this makes me appreciate the Volca keys more as an instrument rather than a piece of gear. Just connect it to your favorite midi keyboard and start playing!
What is the best korg volca for hip hop beats?
Love it, its on my top list now.i love jamming with korg volcas Keep on jamming positive vibes
Can I eprom with this?
I like those light rings in your eyes.
I see people still use the volca series. I personally hate the workflow and the tiny keys, but good tones none the less
Good for you kid, you are awesome! :-) I hope you make it and we are all listening to you ideas. Can it reflect Individualism and reject Collectivism? I hope you chose wisely we will be watching and waiting.
I got the Volca FM, you can pump out some gritty sounds that accommodate the Circuit really well. FM definitely has a learning curve and I haven't began to unlock it's full potential, even after two years. But it sounds so damn good, and even on the surface level a novice synth player (like me) can enjoy working with it. But if you're willing to do some menu diving, and take some time to experiment, you will unleash a beast within this little synth. All that being said; I'd still love to have the Volca Keys as well for it's raw analog sound and simplicity. These little synths are definitely not a toy, in fact the FM can easily stand toe-to-toe with many $400 digital synths, possibly even out preform them, at half the price.
I bought the Keys some months back, upon opening the packaging I was disappointed it was a returned product and had some scratches in it. There was no replacement so had to refund it. I tinkered it with for a day made some Stranger Things with it, I loved it even though I was a beginner.
THE QUESTION IS ARE YOUR USELESS VIDEOS Still Relevant ,USELLESS LITTLE YOUTUBER YO
Came here because I didn't know if I should buy it 3 minutes and I'm ordering
"You can't save presets" *laughs in guitar tube amp*
I deleted the 1st of the 8 sequences so it was left blank. I feel your pain. lol
I’m looking into learning how to use synths. As a total beginner to this, would this be a great thing to purchase?
The Volca Keys is full of surprises. Even if you’ve had one for years there are still times when it will produce something new and unexpected. Fantastic little box.
how did you manage to say nothing?
I have one. It's still decent. But really the microbrute is the king of cheap analog.
Dude, did you even try the synth out before you did your video? "It doesn't save patches"… EXCEPT FOR IN EACH OF THE "PROGRAM" SLOTS WHICH CONTAIN ALL OF THE SOUND AND SEQUENCE SETTINGS FOR THAT PARTICULAR PROGRAM How the hell do you think they are able to sequence control modulation if they don't also have complete patch storage with that sequence? There's more to reviewing synths than buying a camera and a mic and putting the synth on video. Credibility = shot
so as a noob, he´s using the other midi controller as a keyboard?
These things are gonna go for 4x original value in a few years, mark my words. Make the investment now and reap the rewards in the future.
Years later I still absolutely love this thing. Especially unison mode, I use it all the time. Absolute dirtbox, although it can be very musical if you want it to be
so cool
Why can't you produce a readable manual for this synth
What is the best korg volca for hip hop?
Love it, its on my top list now.i love jamming with korg volcas Keep on jamming positive vibes
Do you need computer for this ? actually i was thinking to buy Volca keys . I saw many videos on youtube Volca keys and aurturia midi setup.!
Keep jamming positive vibration
01:38 Extratone
Nice Tannoys
"Nintendo Game Boy" switch-on-sound spotted at 1:51
Here is how you make a Reese bass with this beast cables and power adapters cost more than the volcas.
Keys with beats sounds incredible!
Anyone knows how I can initalize patterns ?
Thank you for the demo Asian Robert Pattinson
feel like a total noob here but I'm curious, anyone know a synth thats more in style with the sounds like of 2:16 - 2:21 ? That kind of lofi- dreamy feel
Ultra awesome!
This guy reminds me of Thom Yorke. Could be his voice.
Why wont Korg update there software?. Its a joke. The M1 vst is absolutely fucked and folks have paid there licenses. Logic wont validate it
Dobre mordo
A little noisy and crusty. That's just how it goes. I kinda quite like it. -Nick
If I need a review, I come and see Nick.
Year 2020 and I'm watching this review (because sonicstate reviews are really really the best!) hunting for some (additional) cheap (
that volca keys does not have a 700S filter, rather it sounds like a simple 10K pot switching preset tonal settings ! My good friend Nick the Controller called it a cracker jack box, I'd agree !
Those chords at 9:36. Fantastic!
My only gripe is that the release time is pitiful
It sounded pretty flippin musical in your demo nick
Can you transpose the key of a sequence in realtime? I have an IK UNO which is great but I don't think it can transpose.
Legend!
Hey so this shit used midi input from keyboard? O I thought they used analog?
That delay is the same as the Minilogue, I know realize. Wow!
Really informative, man thank you for making these videos, your knowledge helps a lot of people, seriously, thanks you very much. You are the best!
Seems like this might be my first synthesizer
Great video. Can you hook this up to a Roland tb 3? If so how?
Just got mine and about to have some fun playing with it. Thanks for the great review as it was most helpful and influential in making my decision to buy one. You really know your stuff, clearly explain the features and give great constructive criticism, all of which is very informative and refreshing. Please keep up the good work.
Dope review.
If i have to choose one of or Bass?
In some cases this synth sound almost identic to my Poly 61
Thx
The second-weakest of the Volcas, imho . .
