I love these videos! Only issue is that I feel the VO is a little too loud in the mix compared to the drum recording volume (I like to listen very loud to really hear the drum).

How highly cranked is the bronze on high tuning...sounds great.. My favourite of these..
i am putting remo ambassador on the aluminium snare drum pearl sensitone and evans st dry on the maple snare drum pearl sensitone, may be remo emperor white suede on the maple snare drum pearl sensitone. let go !!
I’m gonna have to go with medium tune *Mahogany!* I also appreciate the editing, you actually get to hear the musicality and tonality of each drum in the context. But yeah, that Mahogany sounds nice, crispy and warm.

I bought the Phosphor Bronze after seeing this... Good sound, but the throwoff is often very stiff. Have had to use WD 40 to loosen it, a few times. All these snares sound good and are well recorded. The Bronze is my favourite.

Impossible.. All snares in this video sounds great. I like the steel and brass better for low tunings and both wood snares better for high tunings. Medium tuning range - all sounds really great!

I have the Phosphor Bronze model, and have gigged with it for some time now. It’s easily my favorite snare drum that I’ve ever owned. Extremely articulate and sounds amazing with a live band.

By far the best shootout I have ever seen. Great sound, tuning and of course performance. I actually needed this badly. The phosphorus Bronze is the one that I would go for. They all sound awesome. Also I was never a 14x5 guy, but this changed my views. Thanks for all your creative efforts.

The brass has such cutting power and bit of ring ,a little moon gel will do justice!
Awesome video thanks! A little too much processing and compression for me, it's harder to feel the natural sound of the snares but it's dope anyway :)
