12x5 tuned slightly lower from all the way cranked is nice
the 12 had a much nicer attack but it does have more of a basketball ring to it after the initial strike. I'm building a cafe kit and i'm seriously doubting which one of these to get for the snare drum.

If my snare drum would sound like this. One indication: "Out off tune!" And your face while playing... Haha funny
Learn how to tune a drum!!!! Every hit, no matter where on the head should produce the same note. Now if you hit it on the bed on the head it will produce different overtones but will still be the same note. I hope the drum actually sounds good if it's tuned right.

It sounds like a crappy metal snare and you're just using marching band rudiments. Theres no real tone in this snare. Just a snare pearl threw together and said.. well its loud.. lets give it a name and some kids can buy it to play in their garage band. Its business. Tone is everything in music and I can always tell a band who uses sub par gear and professional gear. It says a lot about where a persons ears are as a musician as well. If thats pleasant to you then you have a long way ahead.
well its better than mine, i just can't get that finger control speed. I noticed some miosses but still, you got the speed I don't. I'm considering taking a course with a good teacher. I also watch freedrumlessons and drumeo on youtube, its pretty good

nah man, if you rune the resonant head better and adjust the tension in the snare if shouldn't have that echo... especially on a firecracker.
