Just found out these cost $400 my friend bought me a pair for my birthday 4 years ago lol, and I used them like a couple times and stored them away somewhere.
I have the parrot Zik 1.0 and i love them but the battery situation is quite frustrating! i'll try soon to mod it soi can fit a 1000mah battery inside
Can anyone tell me about the sound on these?
Should I buy the Zik 3 in 2020?
I have the Parrot Zik 2 (wich is buildwize identical to the Zik 3), and can tell you that the fake-leather starts to wither off after 2 years. Even tough I always been so careful with these.
It doesnt look nice at all.
There is also a weak spot on each side of the arc (tiny plastic parts), mine eventually broke apart. Ive glued it myself, but now after 3,5 years they look TERRIBLE. BUT still works!
Altough weird sounds occur when speaking on phone, propably because they dont fit tight any longer because of the withered away fake leather around the ears.
But I should say that the sound is very good, its on par with Sennheiser Momentum wich I was close to buy when getting these.
The NC is good too, and the functionalities is nice, touch too.
I just wich they had better build quality both when it comes to leather and the overall material.
THE MOST ANNOYING feature though about these is the placement of the flat On/Off button, altough I used these ones for years, I still accidentally shut them off from time to time.
Very annoying. The OnOff button should be lovered several millimeters into the chassie of the headphone.
ALSO - The touchpanel works pretty bad in minus degress conditions. And not often, but sometimes, the headphones just shut off by themselves, altough there is still battery in them.
AND - The battery get swollen with time, and I needed to use tape to get it to stay where it is supposed to be. Otherwise it pushes open the magnetic cap, and falls out.
Overall im OK happy with this purchase, but I do regret a little bit that I didnt go for the Sennheiser Momentum instead, I think they would have lasted some more years.
I saw this headphone in hmv when I was in high school. I stared at it for an hour and hoping I can get this awesome wireless headphone. At that time Bluetooth headphone was a new, luxury fancy thing, now I am using Bose qc35ii already but I still wanna to find the headphone I once dreamed of.
Amazing thing is, I bought of Bose after watching videos from this channel, also found my old memories from this channel
Parrot is so dead now
nice product but in the long run they break down really easily. The earcups of mine would flake, or detach, the band bend and breaks etc. Went through 3 in under 2 years.
Here in the ph you can get the zik 3 for only 40dollars which is 90% off at a limited time.
What has better bass sound an volume
Do you have a new pair of black smooth zik 3.0 or 2.0’s Great review btw. Have owned five pairs, superior to jbl bose sensheisser b&o imo. Too bad the company stopped production another bad decision. But do you have any to sell?
They look very sleek. What would you prefer for casual and fitness use compared to Bose QC ii and Sony WH-H900N compared to these?
Should I get the zik 2.0 or Sennheiser 4.50 btnc?
These are up next on my bucket list, I wanted the wireless bluetooth Bose Headphones but these are calling my attention more, I'm very picky when it comes to technology/electronics
Damn, I cant use these because of the magnets. I wear headphones when I bike and I like to go on rough terrain. CAnt let them fall off
I had these for over 2 years, and I have to say the quality is really bad. The aluminium parts held up really nice, but the fake leather is a mess. It starts to break to tiny pieces and I do not recommend these to anyone. Sound is really good but the fake leather should be a deal breaker for anyone. For the price look somewhere else.
these seem like absolute shit.
I don’t normally leave comments, but, that stress test though . Gave me the same feeling as dragging fingernails down a chalkboard.
Thanks for doing this Review I was hoping you will compare more sounds with Bose This product actually drop or on sale today around AUD180 original price in Aus is over $500 Its Very Tempting As Bose Never Drop price like this
which is better parrot zik 2.0, sony hear on 2, or bose qc35?
Great review .keep up the good work
He didn't mention the best feature, you can use them while they charge. Yes, without the headphone cable, just the micro usb provides you with 100% functionality while they charge. Also, if you use airplane mode and the headphone cable instead of bluetooth, the battery life almost tripples. They advertise 16-18 hours in the mode, but I only got about 11. Well worth the $235 price on refurbished via amazon, and only $9 for a 4 year warrenty.
Hi, can this pair with computers?
another clarification, whether it is BT 3.0 or BT 4.0, it won't affect the transmission of signal, as it is still using SBC. If you want better sound quality on BT, pay attention to headphone and device that supports APTX or LDAC (by SONY). *reminder: iPhone only supports SBC and AAC, not support APTX.
Great headphone especially that I bought it in discount price of US$164 (for a white leather pair). I have used it both wired with the 3.5mm audio cable, and by Bluetooth.
Actually, by default, if you are in an airplane, you must use it buy 3.5mm audio cable (BT turned off). Thus, you won't turn on the app anyway. It sounds very similar to QC25 when it is in wired mode. One thing I like about it is it does not have that much of "air cabinet pressure" feeling on my ears as that of QC25. So my ears feel comfortable. While it is connected to my music device or smartphone by Bluetooth, its app is amazing. The + point is ability to control the noise cancellation level in the app. Truely amazing. by the way, when I am using wred connection by the 3.5mm audio cable, the right touch control only accepts commands for volume up/volume down. The control of next/previous track is disable. In BT mode, everything is normal. About the sensitivity on the touch control, Parrot Zik 3.0 is more stable than Parrot Zik 2.0, but price is also very different.
one thing I want to clarify. in an airplane, the BT will be off (user must be using wired connection), and the app does not work on wired mode. So the Noise cancellation is set to default setting. In wired connection, user just needs to press POWER button once to turn off and press again to turn on. It is very responsive.
i bouth them but they have no microphone is this right
I just got these for Christmas
Those long zoom out-of-focus shots are really annoying
They are like half that price now
Is this alot better than the parrot zik 3?
I like
Can you still wear glasses normally with these headphones ?
no mute?!? Really. why have a mic.
No APT-X support, I like mines but the lack of APT-X is my only gripe.
does someone sell used ones? they're expensive as fuck
To anyone considering these, please check the item out on Amazon UK and see the reviews concerning the ear cups tearing apart after nominal amount of months. I was on the verge of buying them until I saw the comments made by other users!
Amazing headphones - just hope nothing goes wrong. Parrot after sales services is the worst i have ever experienced. I won't buy another parrot product no matter how good they are given the way they treat you when something goes wrong. Won't go into details here but if Parrot is reading - you need to seriously overhall you after sales service.
I currently have the Parrots Zik 2 and i really like them and would suggest to anyone anytime :)
any audiophile willing to give me a answer ?
Parrot zik 2.0 vs B&O PLAY H7 ?
its the same battery that they use in their mini quads u can get them everywhere
Hi CNET, how can I find you? May I have your email ?
If you want incredible realistic hifi sound, the Zik3 are fantastic! . however, too bad they didn't tell us that the Zik3 only connects Bluetooth to Apple devices! If you try to connect to most Bluetooth adapters, you are plumb out of luck.
The Zik 2.0 are incredible. I purchased these a month ago replacing the beats and my Bose and with the updated app the sound is fantastic and they were 200 bucks! That's because the Zik 3.0 are out and are at 400 bucks. The Zik 2.0 are the best Bluetooth headphones vs. the 400 dollar beats or Bose. I still have the Bose and gave the new beats to my son.
it's possible to use this headphones in vidéo games? (PC,PS4)
I have the original parrot zik. And they're fantastic! I kind of wish it could go louder with more bass but that's just me. I like to make my ears bleed Haha!
But this reviewer, I'm not a fan of tbh. His voice and speech patterns lack flow. He sounds too mechanical when he talks.
yeah i heard 70 too
Ok so the beats is on top so far?
Are these even good?
Need some math refresher courses , a decrease from 325g to 270g, is not a 70% change!
How about a comparison between sennheiser momentum wireless and this one?
Can I get an audiophile opinion on this?
Can you check the Parrot zik 3.0 over the ear ones?
Be fantastic if they bring back the gold colors from the 1.0 series
Personally I enjoy my beats a lot
Great sound quality for certain kind of music that uses base Also got a Marly pair much better to hear reggae pop and other kinds of music
I have the 1st version of these and i love the sound quality! I also love more of the design of the 1st one's. I wish they would do better with the battery life.i get 5hrs top on mine my beats studio's i get almost 20hrs so i listen to them more.
How much they paid for you? Can you be like MKBHD? Who will never do this kind of video
I don't see the point of having like 12 hours of battery life on a pair of headphones, I think this is the perfect amount, 6 hours a day, them you plug it in at night, shouldn't be a problem, and shit hits the fan, you plug in an aux cord when you have like an hour left and boom, you could probably 3-4 hours, all day use not a problem, much rather have amazing sound quality, build quality, and noise cancelation options, then have bass that drowns out music, ugly big black with a huge b on the side, but has like 20 hours of battery, if anyone buys beats, you basically buying $50 headphones, and a $350 label.
i think im good with my V-Modas the best decision ive made
Was strongly considering these along with the Beats Studio Wireless. Consensus says they both are stylish, they both have great noise cancellation and both have good sound quality for bluetooth headphones. Went with the Beats because they have nearly double the battery life using the same features.
You guys should pick up the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless. I'm going for it next. Heard that's the top of line, especially in sound quality!

That app looks crazy
