Ive been using alphas for ages but just got this ride and love it, nice sized bell and you can use it as a crash if you really want but its been nice so far

Older ones were definitely sweeter than the newer ones. The older ones have a darker tone, because I have played them side by side.

Great ride cymbal..Owned one years ago when they first came out..Much better than the current ones, and they were Swiss made, whereas the new line is made in Germany..

I have a PST5 18" crash and I love it, which would make me lean towards the pst5 series over anything, based on budget.

I miss the old Alphas
The old Aplhas are far more superior than the current line of Alpha Paiste produces..These have lathing and hammering similar to the Signature and Signature Precision, and is Swiss made, as opposed to the now German made Alphas.. The best part is you can get them at beginner cymbal prices.. This particular ride can be had for under $150..

what did you use to film this?
I don't know if there's something wrong with my ears, I have that cymbal, I tried so many more expensive rides, and i just keep coming back to this one. I love it's bell sound in the mix.
