Just bought this blind. The opening was okay but nothing special, it has a strong synthetic soap smell. Then the dry down comes and it mellows into an amazing masculine fragrance. If you like Kouros this is definitely worth adding to the collection. I'm really happy with it, and can see why it was such a success. Thanks for the review.
The year i born
Does this work in tropical countries, like Malaysia?
One of my all time fragrances
Im my 40's, my staple fumes are this, YSL Kouros, Boss No#1, Ralph Lauren Green & Chanel Egoiste & Drakkar. I dont ever want to smell like a metro unisex lollipop boy, real men wear real men's scents. The above mentioned are the to-go-to LIST
i prefer these old school masculine fragrances. I dont like any of the contemporary millenial unsex tooty fruity fragrances.
does it have any similarity to silver scent??
Sadly, (trying to hide my age😂🤣) I remember this as a young man working in London, everyone was wearing this fragrance.
Liked it then, like it now, just bought a 100ml for £25
Great review my friend 👍🇬🇧
This was love at first sniff for me! Always thought there was something wrong with my bottles or skin chemistry, because the smell changed from the piny and green opening to a sweeter dry down. Now I understand it's meant to transform 😆
Lads you want to drive the younger ladies crazeee
Wear this liberally with a couple of sprays of farenheit
Smells like raid
I got a 50ml vintage version of this beauty for £16. Absolute bargain
Edit: I'm 19 and I absolutely love it
Too mature and old scent, not likeable anymore these days
Great review! I bought my first bottle during my military service back in 1984. And I still love it.
We gotta do something about that accent.
Great detailed review!
Funny - you showed ALL fragrances I use on a daily basis - only Polo is missing but i was almost ordering it today. Still I feel no syntheticity in Rabanne at all.
When I buy my fragrances, I always get:
Paco Rabanne (Original)
Then lately I've been getting:
Versace L Homme
I want to get:
But, I'm gonna get "ALL" of these again in the near future.
Great video 👍👍
Great review.. thank you. I am now convinced.. I will try this one!
Great review! Even in my ever-growing collection of 20 years I always have to have a 50ml or 30ml of the original Paco Rabanne PH.
Reminds me so much of Lacoste Original Lacoste. But smoother, and way way less sharp on the dry down. Both have big sharp openings. But when this chills out it's so much easier to wear. Love both though!
Thanks . I couldn't find this anywhere locally here in Aus. when mine ran out year before last. I thought it was discontinued. Didn't try online though. Will look around again for it.
Anytime any says ‘barbershop’, this is what comes to mind. Also, the bottle looks exactly like it smells. Great Fragrance.
Is this Paco rabanne sent as soapy like sung homme by Alfred Sung
The bottle is so iconic and so badass
I've got my eye on this but it's priced a bit on the higher side. Should I get this or Bogart signature which is cheaper. I hear they smell similar. Which one is better ?
Just bought a vintage 2004 of this when only acqua alcohol fragrance were listed on the bottle as the ingredients.
This is a waw for me. Love at first sniff. It's a soapy like a white soap smell with a green smell on top, this is the oak-moass and that's it. Amazing!
Thank you for an excellent review. You have persuaded to buy this! 👍😊
by the way, it got added a lemony top note and the musk was replaced by tobacco, in the latest versions.
Great review. It’s one of my all time favs and I plan on buying a bottle. I wasn’t sure if the scent was outdated or not. Subscribed!
paco rabanne pour homme and drakkar noir were my go to fragrances from the 1980's-1990's... im not that good looking but i got so much p@ssy from these..lol
beautiful fragrance. I have a clone of it and it's really a piece of art.
I couldn't personally do it. Off my skin it's absolutely wretched. It's got staying power though, I'll give it that. I couldn't wash it off🤣
Great fougere - probably my favorite herbal scent ever. It's crazy how Paco Rabanne was making panty-dropper frags even 30 years ago with this. Pour Homme gets compliments like crazy for me b/c ppl are not used to it w/ their olfactory senses
Great video. Totally on point. 10/10

My father used to use this in the eighties. It was a splash bottle. We lived in the Dominican Republic where it’s hot as hell Lol. But prph smelled so good and performance was insane. I could smell it all over. Todays not so good at all
Thanks for this great review of a timeless classic Kelan. Paco Rabanne Pour Homme won the FIFi Award for the best men's fragrance in 1975, Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez gave it four stars out of five in their book Perfumes: The A-Z Guide and grooming expert and fragrance connoisseur Lee Kynaston has put it in his Olfactory Hall of Fame and regards it as one of the greatest men's fragrances ever created:
It's a manly fragrance and it won't appeal to people who like sweet synthetic bubble gum fragrances like One Million. It smells very different to the generic-smelling men's fragrances that are currently popular. Paco Rabanne Pour Home's charm is slow to reveal itself, but it's subtly seductive - the more you wear it, the more it grows on you.
I started wearing it again last autumn because I wanted a change from Boss Bottled. I love smelling it on myself and I don't care whether other people like it or not. However, Paco Rabanne Pour Homme is something of a dark horse - it has garnered lots of unsolicited compliments when I wear it, which is something that I didn't expect.
Irish Spring !
Wtf is wrong with your eyebrows buddy
You’re a young buck. 😂😂I was born in 1973
Most people say it has been reformulated to death.
But... I have some vintage bottles and I don't see the scent to have changed at all.
What do you think?
I had to watch original, great box and an enjoyable review👍👌
Ciao...Do you prefer this to aqua d selva?
I just ordered some. I can't wait. I love classic older scents and I remember the seventies, although I didn't wear cologne then.
yes, the dry down is good, and I am really glad I bought this stuff. Actually, I think PR was the inspiration for Grey Flannel which came out a few years later.
I tried it on today just an hour ago. Right off the bat I think of what Richard Gere "American Gigolo" would have worn, or a cool headed , blazer wearing businessman. Definitely masculine yet not overbearing. It is grassy smelling to me. Kind of smells like what fresh sugar cane juice tastes like, in fact. I might buy it, but it's a little against my principles to buy expensive frangrances you have to go to the fashion mall to buy. We'll see how the drydown goes.
The worst Fragrance ever I don’t know who would buy this
You’ve reviewed Acqua Di Selva. Which one is better in your opinion? PR Pour Homme or ADS?
Scent from miracle Rhym. So nice and gorgeous is it!!!! Sorry for my English. 😊👍Thanks.
I love mine For some reason I love wearing it on Saturdays mornings
This is on my list ...I love Azzaro Pour Homme ....
I just got Eros flame and diesel bad intense. Both 1.7 oz. both for 86.00. Not bad. By the way , does your Paco Rabanne pour Homme say made in france or Spain ?
Thanks for responding
I checked out fragrance x. Good prices. Will try them
Thanks. One more question. Is eBay good to buy colognes or not?
Where did you buy it? I would like to get another. Does it project well?
Probably a bad bottle. You said the latest one performs well? What size bottle did you get of the latest formulation?
I got this from eBay. Listed as Vintage. No year indicated. 1.7oz. Smells nice. Sprayer sucks. Projection, very poor. Does not smell as dense as it used to. Came without a box. New. Not sprayed. Projection is terrible. Eight sprays, my wife could not smell it sitting next to me in the car
the scent of my youth. Really wonderful stuff.
Is it sweeter than kouros and Givenchy gentleman 1974? I would like to order it.
Paco Rabanne Pour Homme is fantastic. I'm 60 y.o. and used to wear this back in the 80's when I was chasing women in L.A. I can't tell you how many women I attracted wearing this scent. I was in my prime and all I wanted was women, as many as possible, and this scent was like a magnet for women, young and old. I still wear Paco Rabanne because it so refreshing, the performance is excellent and although it's been around awhile, women still find it appealing. It's great casual wear and goes perfectly with jeans, t-shirt and boots. Highly recommend for almost any age although it definitely leans towards the mature, healthy, fit and active gentleman.
this stuff is awesome,, and has really grown on me. But how many sprays do you use without coming off too strong?
A friend i talk with about perfumes said women my age (19) won´t compliment this thing...
And i told him: "I ain't here to satisy girls, dude. I like a perfume i wear it even when girls tell me i smell like an old man."
Pretty masterpiece perfume, classic aromatic - fougere. Just an amazing creation.
Same experience. I bought it just to round out a shopping cart to 50 bucks. I was pleasantly surprised!!
One of my friends couldnt stop from snoffing my shirt. Quite embarrassing
Do a video!
I'm 30,and I'm a collector, but I do love Tht 70s scent, masculine, reminds me of my beloved late grandpa where he use to wear Tht kind of barbershop type of a scent. I like it!
Any Stetson Original fans here? Its a scent I feel that really works well on me
It seems like the only thing making this feel old is oakmoss.
No pine at all. It's a fresh clean Irish Spring masculine scent.
i love classic frags, they used to have much more character than a lot of scents of today.
Powdery scents give me a headache. Is this one VERY powdery or only slightly powdery? Thanks!
This description is dead on.
It has a soap scent, clean and green and in my book is a daytime wear for the office and very casual informal wear.
Maybe to the gym or outside events. I don’t find it in any way a sensual scent. More of a healthy, I just showered kind of a deal.
a little bit under the weather and wanting to feel fresh after a day of lying around recuperating, so I'm wearing this today. I'm liking it more the more I wear it!
Classic designer....getting back to basics is a good thing.
Kristo, my man, what happened to your livestreams? You pulling a Eugen on us?
I have a vintage 120ml and I would sell it for a fair price
Yup I picked up two bottles at Shoppers, love this! Also made my own impression perfume on it. And check this out here: https://youtu.be/qwVavxxb0Ns
I love this fragance, it is very soapy in a cool way.
