Understanding the accident of Fukushima Daiichi
How Fukushima Disaster ACTUALLY Happened
Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Disaster | दुनिया की दूसरी सबसे भयानक नाभिकीय त्रासदी.| जानिए Ankit Sir से
Ten years later, here’s what Fukushima’s damaged reactors look like today
It's nice to compare the steps taken between Chernobyl and Fukushima after disaster struck. Where Chernobyl had a built-in flaw vs Natural disaster. What was done, how fast these nations reacted...which methods used, etc. Although at Chernobyl it was only one core, the core actually exploded, where at Fukushima the containment areas are still intact...I think the fact that they could use millions of litres of sea water helped to cool the cores, but might have longer lasting, widespread damage to the ocean, damaging some countries around them. Where Chernobyl let all that out into the air! I read earlier this week that some bush fires are now, again, releasing some radiation into the air around Europe...decades after the disaster... I like these types of informative documentary style reports.
This is the best video I've seen on this disaster, and by far.
If TEPCO would have spent a bit more money to make these reactors safer, the disaster could have been avoided. But no...they compromised safety measures to save money. Money money money, big company's don't cares about safety. I guess afterall it sure wasn't worth it.
Oh well....humanity's "reign" is coming to an end soon a anyway.
This represents the biggest problem with nuclear fission power, in my opinion- when everything goes right, it's an amazing source of energy, but when things go wrong, they can go horribly, horribly wrong.
4:32 >> "Heat exchanger shutoff due to excessive cooling" - anyone can explain the logic behind this?
Incredible video buddy ! Very well made
Hydrogen does not react with oxygen unless you provide an ignition source. You imply that you get an explosion just by mixing H and O2 together, but that is not true.
8:08 The building is actually *designed* that way, so that if there's a hydrogen explosion in the superstructure, the walls of the structure actually give way and are blown apart, and thus the explosion doesn't get to damage the containment below. The design did its job as it was supposed to.
They didn’t have A3-5
solar, wind and wave power with various storage options and technologies is what they should aim for now- nuclear is a very expensive and dangerous option not worth the cost in money or lives
Where are you from that says water like that?
Once these nuclear rods are made there’s no other way of keeping them cool, other than water? Fancy making something that you can’t really switch off
What a comprehensive and informative video. Well done.
I ever tought that electriziti is produced in a way more evolved method its kinda like a advanced steam engine Im pretty amazed not knowing how a reactor works while 26y old Fukushima Radiactivitie Gamma rays Chernobyl thats all so interesting Very good Video 👍
This video should mention that the sea-water pumps feeding the power plant ITSELF were destroyed by the tsunami, not only most of the diesel power generators. But the situation was even worse: the diesel-generators relied on water-cooling by the very sea water-pumps they were to power, so the remaining power generators stopped working because of the lack of water-cooling.
0:51 sounds like a uh-1 huey
Forgive my ignorance, but I thought that reactors were supposed to be designed to be protected by physics. That in the event of a shutdown the chain reaction would stop on its own, due to control rods and neutron dampeners like water. That "residual heat" would not push the temperature of the fissionable material to 2000 celsius. Why does a reactor need a steady flow of electricity and electric devices like pumps merely to avoid total core meltdown. That seems too dangerous to even allow.
💪 VID !
Nuclear power is beyond human control.
After watching Chernobyl all steps that led to disaster make a lot more sense now... Anyone else thinks so?
1 in 3 people these days. I wonder why we get sick sometimes.
Fukushima was actually a argument in favor of nuclear power. A earthquake happened that was so strong that the main island of Japan moved 10 meters and the entire earths trajectory moved 10mm, this triggered a 13 meters high tsunami that totally flooded an 40 year old powerplant and still after 7 years only 1 person died after he didn't use a mask which lead to some radioactive dust getting in his lungs which gave him lung cancer.
Jesus three reactors melted down? That's a lot worse than I remember it. Wow.
We've enginered our disaster. What are we ve been developing so far even worst.
Why didn't they send immediately power generators using big helicopters?? They would have saved the power station, as there should be the power needed for cooling the power station.
Nuclear energy makes a bad day, much much worse. All nuclear scientists, and physicists that have not come forward against nuclear energy, should be immidiately arrested and tried for crimes against humanity and the world. Especially since they are well aware of the health problems their greed causes the world. Even if you claim global warming as a reason for nuclear, the inevitable release of hot particles makes that a bad idea.
That one person named Shima watching this right now.
The guy crossing his fingers near the safety valve is the darkest and most humorous thing I’ve seen.
All hero’s this could’ve been way worse
These people are hero’s .
What's the name of the music?
Fukushima destroyed my faith in Japanese people.

Hey guys and girls Look over here- Fukushima is still leaking. 👀 Maybe goto McDonald’s and order a Fukushima Fish Sandwich 🥪
Not gonna lie, I found just watching this video to be kind of stressful.
There is a beautiful movie called Fukushima 50 that shows what happened
Its happening again guys….
A mechanical/manual coolant injector should've been that'd automatically activate if too much hot air was picked up by a plunger, sending coolant flooding into the chamber. The manual trigger would work like the automatic one, but it'd activate if someone pressed a button, broke some glass, pulled a lever, etc.

Thanks sir
Nice sir 👌
japan or nuclear dono ko suite nahi karte
Pani abhi waspit nhi hua hai
Sir is teaching and Spiderman far from home scenes playing in background. 😂😂😂
👌
We don't want nuclear for energyy
Nuclear power is Bad
Sharing knowledge is blessing and boon .thanks for sharing
Iske liye sabhi deso ko japan ka madat karna chahiye
🙏🏻🙏🏻JAI MA SARASWATI🙏🏻🙏🏻
Why not buy permission to dump that water in Saharan desert Africa??? No one lives there and its literally desert ....
Nuclear fusion is not advisable since it is a threat to the sources of life, where life exists. 2022 onwards All Renewable sources for energy production. SMEs..
THIS PUT THE NAILS INTO OUR COFFINS Want to know why people are dyeing so young? THIS IS WHY! Might have well just started a NUCLEAR WAR! IT WILL END FASTER
And it still leaking today 5/22 The question is WILL OUR OCEANS SURVIVE THIS TRAGEDY. NO it will flow threw the Pacific ocean into all oceans global ! ☢☢☣☣ 🤬 Then radiation will spread threw evaporation into the clouds to Land! EVERY THING WILL BECOME CONTAMINATED
This 🔥 is hard to put out 😥.
Who's the genius that decided to put emergency generators below sea level in a tsunami zone? Those should've been elevated and safe. Your welcome Captain Hindsight
No one talks about the fire that burned for 2 weeks as 40 years of spent fuel rods burned , contamination like the world had never seen i guess thats why sickness is the biggest industry all planned and orchrastrated SSDD ....
They need to put in a deep well in the subduction side of the Japan Rift Zone - perform heavy fracking and pump that water down into the plate. Eventually it'll get burned up by the mantle.
right away the facts are incorrect. the waves were not 40 meters in height. the were 40 feet in height. that is a very very big difference.
Nuclear Industry Sociopaths Liars also Corruption Cover UPS. Lots of Proof videos pictures. Governments lying about it all.
Birds animals dying off all over Canada. Mass Die Off East Coast Now 2022.
Entire Northern Hemisphere has been Seriously Contaminated. Coast is Dead mostly central. Parts of the a Pacific Ocean Dead. All fish Dying off.
Reactor 3 Mox Fuel Deadly weapons Grade Radioactive Isotopes like P239.
The Tanks are Not Used at all Cover Up. Fill a Tank No Human can get close to the Plant.
Hey the plants are a Death Zone. Full melt downs Reactor 1 2. &3. Reactor 4 all in the cooling ponds.
ship it in space somehow
It goes again
Mad at $$$GLOBAL LEADERSHIP$$$ absolutely
This Event killed the planet....
Japan has been known for fault-lines, earthquakes & blackouts since I was a child. So which Genius decided to go NUCLEAR here ? They are begging for extinction
