Update 2: measured on both bpm connect and omron evolv. To be enought you have to use 2 systems to have a sort of feel that you can thrust a bit the BP benchmark values. The data values are average wise the same. I did a 3 run test on the withings bpm connect and the omron evolv. Bpm connect can do that with a custom setting. Evolv not. But pressing 3x times with a little break is not that hard. My biggest positive for the omron is its clumsy proof. If your doubting the pressure on your arms than the evolv wins. I had to use the evolv in order to have a trusty feel of fitting with the bpm connect. Software wise omron connects nice with Samsung health directly. Bpm connect not. Data wise I'm a freak so I like the more open structure of withings health app. And also it syncs via WiFi. Omron wins in my opinion on speed, fitting and trustworthy measurements. Withings bpm connect wins on software and WiFi connection. So 8/10 for withings bmp connect and 9/10 for the omron. Im still not sure if I'm returning the bmp connect.
FYI: I have just checked the price on Amazon in Germany. BPM is more affordable than Omron
Thank you so much for talking about this! I bought Withings Connect because of this video and it was the best decision I’ve made this year. I used to take 1-2 weeks to get refills for my BP meds, and now seeing how much my BP changes without my meds really has helped me stay on top of managing my BP.
Did you try the Qardio monitor? Curious what you thought of that one
We are both close to 70, don't need blue tooth internet stuff, just a readout so we can keep a chart.
I would have liked to see them being compared to doctor surgery motors to show accuracy. This more seemed like just a sales pitch

Why could someone hate AAA batteries? you can replace them when they die, otherwise with a rechargable battery, when it dies, you lose the entire device, because after 1 or 2 years there is no way to find any battery for that device.
Come on men.! BP is too expensive , it even charge you a 20:00 bucks just for a pouch carrier.

Hi there, thanks for your excellent video. I’ve been fitted with an ambulatory monitor from my cardiologist but want a more portable device to wear to see what a usual working week is like for me. Withings looks great - do you know if it will work with my Apple Watch ?
Can either of them detect abnormal heart beats?
It should be noted that, while they may last up to 5 years, the Withing uses rechargeable batteries that are not replaceable by the user. That means you either send it in to have new batteries installed or buy a new unit. For that reason, I prefer user replaceable batteries.

Hi Doc great idea but I have evolv (UK) and I don’t see how you can share? Also you can delete someone else’s reading via the app if need be - Go to BP tile in App ‘tap’ then ‘3 dots menu’ tap all stored data, then pick the ‘line’ which is someone else’s ‘tap’ and then at bottom of page ‘delete’ entry
call yourself a DR! And you are happy about wireless connections. And they tie into a cellphone. Cellphones are notoriously chatty about their data. CAN YOU MR DR. SPELL H.I.P.A.A. Both you and I know that 3rd parties are not held to HIPAA rules. Right! No bloody wireless.
