OLYMPUS ED 14-150MM F/4.0-5.6 II M. Zuiko Digital Wide Angle & Telephoto Lens | Unboxing Overview
I might have missed it in your video but do you use these with the Pen or an OMD camera. The Olympus ad seems to say they're for the PEN but I haven't got one.
Raoul, good personal appearance, you seem like a nice person, calm, artistic, creative. I like Euro people, equally, or more: people from Europe, women, men (especially) 40-58 yrs. old established in US for many yrs. Euro standards of quality & creativity, lifestyle are higher than many other Continents. They are mature & logical, have good values, ethics from their Parents who are traditional. Beautiful setting, environment for your presentation though I am not really interested in cameras. Dimitris psalms341719@

Thanks for the video. It was very interesting. I live in Northern Indiana USA. I really enjoy watching your channel
What would be the best lens on my Oly em1mii? As travel lens for photography and video? The 12-100, the 12-200 or the 14-150? I like the ‘clutch’ MA and which one has IBIS?
This is my go to lens for tree mounth now and I don t regret my purchase. With this lens you can do everything, is ligthweight compact weather seal .
Thanks for the review.
Hi Peter, Both my wife and I have this lens( she bought hers new). I bought mine second hand and used it on my Panasonic g80, when it went faulty and could not be repaired I was devastated! So I bought a OMD 10Mk2 with this lens as part of a new deal. I was so impressed with Olympus, I gave my daughter the G80 and I now have a EM1Mk2. This combination is great for travel.
I bought mine for my E-M10 II to replace the 14-42 and 40-150 kit lenses. Then I migrated the 14-150 II lens to my NEW E-M10 IV body. It saves me changing lenses constantly. I did several city scape runs covering the whole focal length range with good corner-to corner sharpness. However, the 24 shots of Sandra in a new dress at full length, taken at about 7 feet distance, shows the depth of focus is very narrow when viewed at 400%. But Sandra and her mum found no fault with those shots.
Great and honest review! Thank you so much. I'm hanging between two lenses, the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm F4-5.6 II and the Olympus M.Zuiko ED 75-300mm F4.8-6.7 II. I don't know wich one I schould go with. Greetings from Germany
Hi sir, what lens do u recommend if i shoot toy photography? Should i get this 40-150mm or 45mm f1.8?
Hem Peter! Thanks for the great video. I am planning on buying an OM-D E-M10 Mark III as a kit with this lens. What other lens would you recommend with it? Among the "holy trinity"?
I have this lens. It came with the camera when I bought my EM5 Mark II. Good lens.
Could you be a little more specific on your recommendation of alternative fast prime lens. Not sure what you mean by holy trinity and 1.8 series. I don't see any reference to those as lens categories on Oly website. You mentioned 2 lens but I can't find them. Maybe seeing them in writing would help. I really like my 12-100 Pro for traveling but perhaps the size of this 14-150 makes more sense.
Super. Many thanks
I'd say the 12-100mm constant f4 is the best travel lens. Both seem very good though.
I have this lens with my EM5MKII but after the last review of Zuiko 40-150 by Robin Wong I find that the quality of the photos from this 40-150 is better (more details and sharper) what do you think about it?
Can you use it with m10?
Thank you for your review, is the combo you used really weather sealed?
Hello. I'm interested in a portrait lens. I was thinking about some cheap manual lens 135mm f2.8. But I have the opportunity to buy the Olympus 40-150mm f4-5.6 for little money. Will I get a nice bokeh in the portrait at 100mm or 150mm. I know I'll have to move away a bit from the facility, but I like to take portraits from a distance. You have a beautiful 150mm blur. Regards from the UK
I'm looking to upgrade from OMD EM5 Mark I to OMD EM5 Mark III and trying to decide between the 2 bundles. One comes with 14-150mm f/4-5.6 II lens and the other comes with 12-45mm f/4 Pro lens. I see benefits with both, but if you had to choose only 1, which do you think is best Peter since you have tested both? I'm not a pro, just an enthusiast that shoots landscapes, street and nature (plants and insects). Thank you in advance and great video as always!
Recently I thought buying me the latest Olympus 12- 45 mm f/4. Then I thought of my Olympus 14- 150 mm f/4-5.6 and I made a comparison between both. To my surprise, I discovered little difference between the two. My 14- 150 mm had 1 stop less light, was 40 gr heavier and slightly 13 mm longer. So I came to the conclusion that I'm not going to need the latest Olympus lens 12- 45 mm f/4. Maybe better to replace my old camera Olympus OMD-M10 MARK II with the new MARK IV that will bring my existing lenses to a better level and better handling in general
Hi Peter. Just one question. Will this lens work with the IBIS of my Lumix G9?
Thanks for the review Peter. I use this lens with M10-ii and really like it, but notice it can have significant fisheye distortion at lower focal lengths. Have you noticed that?
Very nice shots of San Diego and use of that lens. You've convinced me to keep mine at least for now and not trade up for the 12-45 Pro lens.
Can I Use it with my Canon 800D
Please Reply. Is this a good Vlogging Lens? If I vlog in good lightning condition.?
Thank you! The video was really good and helped me a lot!
I got my EM10 with this lens and I love it and it is very sharp and well made. I also love how small of a total package it is with the camera. I also have the 40-150 kit lens for portraits which is another great lens. I find out of alot of the kit lenses out there you get alot of bang for your buck with Olympus lenses.
. don't collapse this lens, the weakness is the ribbon inside that will fail prematurely after a number of collapses .
It's really unfortunate that these so-called "kit lenses" get passed off and passed over so often. It is entirely possible to get professional quality pictures with it. The only thing I don't like is the slow aperture but hey, what do you expect for a lens which is frequently bundled in with a camera body. I also own the now-deleted Olympus 12-50 and this is the better lens for any number of reasons. The 12-50 is probably better suited to video and also has weather dealing and macro but I never use it, preferring this one almost every time. The only reasons for having the PRO 12-40 over this are aperture, build quality and weather sealing. The image quality is the same, except, of course, at aperture which this lens cannot do. I recommend the 40-150 f/4.0-5.6 for precisely the same reasons.
Thanks MT. Pretty good video, I'm sold
THANKS MAJORKOOL!
12-42mm Ez lenses or pancake lenses also work great for vdo and photo
How about doing a short video on this lens in all manual mode. And maybe one on using for video.
From San Diego ?
great lens for the price my man. right on with the light weight feel. just gotta be careful not to drop it because you will be very upset and scream. at least that's what happen to me. luckily i found a used on for under $100 and i still use it today. good review on the pros and cons.
Heard what I needed to hear in the first 30 seconds. Love it. Sticking around for sure
Has anyone compared this to the Panasonic 14-150? I am looking for a smooth zoom for some videos and I have been told that the Panasonic version is very stiff.
Not a Pro lens!
Sorry!
Wonderful Thank you Subscribe! Thank you for registering (^_^)
an all rounder consumer lens is a pro lens? LOL
The 14-150MM f/4.0-5.6 II is not a Pro Series Lens Sir.
every time you review a lens you never show any pictures taken with the lens , so it just an advert for the lens
So this was an advertising review
