Any idea how it works for acne prone skin? My skin had bad acne but now thankfully it recovered so my dermatologist let me only use powder foundation... EWG ratings show very less comedogenic rating for the ingreidents.. what is your opinion? I used mac ,estee lauder etc but they have comedogenic rating more then this nyx.. what you suggest?
Did you try the "heavy coverage "(wet). I was just wondering if anyone has tried and how it worked.. Just bought this and would love to know how it works.

I hated this as well. It doesn't brighten the face one bit. And it just makes it look dull!!! And I notice the more coats I apply the worse it looks. So I only applied it once using a light hand with a brush(but I was using brush all along) and used another powder on top cos I didn't want to waste my money. It's very like mehhh. It covers nothing but I guess it does minimize the pores.

4:25 I agreed. I got it at ULTA and tried. Texture and others are nice but the color is somewhat light and coverage is not that good.
I usually use a liquid first, then I'll use the powder foundation to just mattify it 🤷🏽‍♀️
What colors are available for this powder?
personally i live the powder i use my two faced hangover primer! it’s great with that. i use a brush to apply. however i don’t recommend using concealer. when i did the first time it made me look yellow in the spot i had concealer on. however if you use it alone with blush, highlight, mascara, and a shimmer eyeshadow. you will look amazing!
You are disappointed by the product because you chose a wring color...seriously...powder foundation, yes, it can highlight dry patches but a proper hydration can help and not necessarily a primer or maybe try with hydrating primer

For me this is best used over a light foundation that cover imperfections. It's amazing used that way.

Just tried this product and haaaaaated it, so I looked to YouTube to see if maybe I was crazy and that there was a better way to use it! Found your video: my experience was the exact same as yours! Any dry spot on my skin ended up like a shade lighter than the rest of the skin, and if I sweat even a single bead, the product clumps in the sweat. FLOP.
If you google this powder foundation online, it'll tell you that it's good for oily skin, not dry skin. Matte products are better for oily skin. Liquid and hydrating products are better for dry skin. Maybe if you get the right color, then it might look better.

This powder is AMAZING. I use a damp Real Techniques Sponge to apply it and it goes on a dream. I do usually apply it over a BB cream. It really minimises my pores and makes my skin look fantastic.
I do not like this powder at all do not even bother going back to Nordstroms to get the new color lol
I LOVE this powder, and for me, I get great coverage. But I also was spot-on with the color. Also, my skin is oily/combination, so I also use a matte primer. I use it every day. 
I use it over my Lioele Triple the solution BB cream and it looks and works great! :)

i think it is full coverage because it covers most of your acne scars and you have a lot which isn't a bad thing it's just to find an affordable foundation that would cover up that much is quite hard

i have this & its great coverage nice finish but after like an hour it breaks apart on my skin and looks nasty .. for reference i have oily skin and acne with some dry patches from acne treatments but uhh ya haha good for pics not for all day 😘
Use a beauty blender instead of a brush and dab it in instead of striping
I noticed with a dampened beauty blender it’s medium to full coverage.

I have that foundation and i liked it. Was hard to find one for mine shade tho, but I don’t care cause i found it.
The way you applied it definitely plays a part in the coverage and whether or not it’s streaky. Use a beauty blender and dab it into your skin.

I appreciate that you actually zoomed all the way in without an HD smoothing filter on it so we could see the honest texture of the product rather than some blurred version of the reality. But yes, I agree that the application was a little crude. Use a brush for setting this powder over a liquid foundation or a slightly damp beauty blender type sponge and stipple for fuller coverage over bare or moisturized . In general I dont like the way most powders lay when applied directly over primers; especially silica based primers... everything slips and it goes directly into the pores. This powder is too loose to see the benefits of a setting spray when applied by itself. If you like a full coverage powder that lays down like a dream try mac studio fix powder. It has more emollient ingredients that lay smoother and respond better to setting sprays.
I dont think using powder foundation is good for anyone. It makes people look wayyy older especially since it's super drying. Maybe put it on top of some liquid foundation to set it and it would probably work a lot better
I know this is an older video but . A tip when working with powder foundations, is to pat it in not rub/smear it on😊
