I concur with you about henna. I used it and now my hair is so brittle until I can hear it snap. So the only way to keep my hair moisturizer is to bath it in Shea butter. I think I need to cut my hair off to get a new start with hair that is not damaged! It is so hard, if I don’t use Shea butter to moisturizer it . My hair is definitely 4C low porosity. Now I need help to get it back to a manageable condition!

I am completely different person than you. I am male, old and still retain much of my hair color. That said MSM has bigger benefits for me than possible hair benefits. It clearly minimizes delayed onset muscle soreness due to "over-exercise" and when I lift weights or run I get good gains in muscle mass and endurance minus the pain. The coach was wrong as you can be great gains without pain. Next and even more important, it greatly reduces seasonal allergies far better than anything the MD has ever offered. I take between a heaping teaspoonful to even a heaping tablespoon daily and have for over 20 years. I do take other supplements so YMMV. Also, I take vitamin C with quercetin, rutin and other flavonoids.
