I've had 2 nonin Go2 and they have worked great.
wait this doesnt make sense how were you able to decrease the sp02 on this patient it falls to 75, so was he choking
Thanks for the review.  I am choosing between this particular Chinese brand and Nonin GO2. This review is very helpful.  
It does not mean that china makes crap. It just means that chinease pulse oximiters shown are crap. I do not see a pont of making a spot check using a device that does not work, no matter how "significantly less costly" it might be.
I've had to use these before. I have never had to have one left on me for more than 30 seconds as a spot check of my O2 levels. For this duration of time the so called Chinese models should work just fine for the average home user and probably at a significant less cost than the Nonin. These types of test in my experience only serve to foster the image that China makes crap. So does the rest of the world. These consumer devices will never replace true medical grade devices in hospitals.
Maybe the chinese oximeter took longer to react? It finally drops quite quickly.
