can I use this flash on canon eos 550d. please anyone help me. Coz I need to buy the flash quickly.
Slave 1 disregards the pre-flashes of the camera's built-in flash and fires only when the main flash output is fired. Slave 2 is triggered by the first flash it sees (even if it is yet a pre-flash). Set your camera's built in flash to ettl (Canon) or ittl (Nikon) when using Slave 1. Set the built-in flash to manual mode when using Slave 2.

Pretty good flash i am very pleased, bought it yesterday and it does a good work up to now:) But can anybody tell me what's the difference between slave 1 and slave 2 modes?
@boyetpecson i don't know about that certain model, though it is compatible with olympus cameras, because in the PDF manual it refers to special options only for nikon and olympus cameras. Um the setting up for my Canon EOS 1000D didn't need anything further than mounting it on the hotshoe:)

Yes, Nissin Di466 can be used wirelessly with the Canon 500D, but with a few restrictions, the pop-up flash needs ot be up.

nope. it has a orange glow like those found on DSLR or prosumers

Slave 2 works with any flash, so with my d3100 the slave2 worka fine.
will this work with iTTL on nikon d3200 and will this work as a slave with nikon d3200 build in flash thanks

It helps the camera to autofocus in dark, if using autofocus.
