Unfortunately the review is mostly useless as it is relevant only to when using the same camera. The results will be vastly different depending on the manufacturer and sometimes even different model. This is because filters need to be matched to the given camera's sensor response to infrared. You don't mention it. The magenta cast is the result of the IR pollution. Such pollution will be very different from camera to camera, so the results you are getting don't mean much.

Hi, is the Nisi Ir ND64 + CPL is supposed to be dark no matter how much you turn it? I just got mine today thinking i could only use the polarizer if i turn it a certain way and the 6 stops if i want to make a long exposure. mine don't work like that (or just not working at all) its just dark, can't get only the polarizer for reflexion and ?

Great review. Had 100mm set of grad filters but end up not using as much as it's a pain to travel with and setup This made more sense and simple. Thx for the details.

Just to let you know you should just color label your cases using large stickers in different colors ! That way you will be able to tell which is which easily. Why label the cases using just red? You just repeated what annoyed you— making the filter cases not distinguishable. Doing what you did made you go through the texts on the little red label of each cases to find the filter you want. Why?

I just wanted to ask would it be better if I buy the huc ir nd64 + cpl or a nd variable filter. Also does the nd 64+cpl has variable nd in it or not. When I stack them does the order in which they're stacked matter? I would have assumed that you thread them on in numerical order 1, 2, 4, 10 but in my case 10 wont thread onto 4 but 4 will thread on to 10. Does that matter?

My opinion, please don't compare Nisi with Lee: no color cast vs blue color cast, no scratch vs easy scratch; Nisi coating makes it easier to use under wet conditions, easier to clean. and so on, and so on.

It is much easier to clean greasy fingerprints from glass. Glass is also much less reactive to cleaning agents whereas plastic can be damaged by some cleaning products. A review by Nasim Mansurov of Photography Life also found that resin filters can have an adverse effect on sharpness, particularly as sensor resolution increases.

Marc, first I’ve taken the long exposures class. Loved it but for that class I did my research. I bought the Nisi system and I love that too. I’m so glad you did this video. It validates me buying the Nisi system.
Have been using NISI filters for four years now, cannot fault the system as a whole. Many filter systems have a coloir cast, NISI have bery little to minute of a fraction. As for the glass compared to resin, prefer the glass, just my own opinion, glass as per lenses, you can feel and notice the quality. The night filter works and is extremely good. NISI have been around for a while, again personally I find NISI better as opposed to Lee system or Cokin. My NISI polariser travels with me everywhere as does the rest of the filters.
