You should of beat out some tunage
Great job my friend! The only thing that I would do differently would he to use a 2,5mm drill instead of a 3mm. The screws that came in the box barely have 3mm diameter and almost half the screws I tried to snugh would just fall inside the drilled hole

I might mention to NOT add glue to the front piece! You might need to open it up to make modifications or repairs. The screws allow you to open and close.Nice job on the video, thank you!

I got the bongo cajon kit 2 days ago. After gluing the side pieces I decided to put in the chamber divider next before the top. The divider slots allow the long sides to flex too much and I was afraid the glue from the top would get into those slots as well. I wouldn't suggest using belt clamps without the divider in for gluing the top for this reason.To clamp the top I put the body on a folding workbench with a couple of 1x3s running along the top edges length wise. I just clamped the bench/body/top/1x3s together.One of the side pieces had some fraying on the top outside edge.Otherwise tonight I'll file/sand the top overhang down and probably put on several coats of some danish oil I have handy.

Hi there!I hope someone here can help me. I've got a Meinl Make your own Cajon kit and the instructions are all absolutely fine with one exception. The snare on this particular Cajon is a small snare that fixes to the frame. However the insrtuctions don't state whether this should be attached to the top frame or the bottom.Can anyone confirm where this should go?

These kits are produced by a major manufacturer of quality cajons. If they are put together correctly and you take you time they are very nice instruments.
