Very good concept and video to show similarities between cajon and drumset.The cajon comes from Peru,and is played there,and in Cuba with traditional hand drum culture.Some people want to play cajon with sticks,brushes,or paddles with all sorts of attachments to replicate a drumset. You can do a lot of that with just good hand drum techniques that conga,djembe, and tabla players already use.This guy plays drumset and seems to have traditional hand drum techniques also.Excellent concept.

I mean if your're playing a show in front of a big crowd go with the drumms, but if you're rehersing of playing in a smaller club or a smaller crowd I can see why you would go with the cajon

Well, your video really sums up the mini cajon! It certainly is not a toy, but as a cajon it lacks the bass tone. Hence you approach it differently playing the top, the sides, etc. Sounds killer with the acoustic guitar, reminds of those early Marc Bolan recordings with light percussion and no drumset... Cheers from the former Soviet Union!
