I am about to purchase this camera and this video is very informative. The biggest revelation for me is the XQD card slot, which, as far as memory cards for cameras go... is the priciest memory card I've e ever seen! hmmm?... a lot to consider.
I rented the Z-6 this weekend to try out. I admit I am a Nikon amateur photographer so keep that in mind when reading this. I have not tried out the Sony, Cannon, Panasonic mirror less cameras. I like the Z-6 camera's ergonomics, quality build, and familiar menu. I liked the EVF and the focus on this camera for me shooting landscape and portraits at a reunion worked better than I expected. The shots were in focus end to end even in low lighting. I will probably purchase one, but the kit lens is a no go for me. The 24-70mm Z/F4 S lens while it took good sharp pictures the shots were dark, F4 is a waste of time in a 24-70mm lens IMO. They make a F2.8 for three times the cost. I will just use my F mount lens until the lens come down to earth on the prices. All in all though I think I am switching over to mirrorless and purchasing the Z6 with a 50mm Z mount lens though...
Nikon's grounding in photography is really starting to come to the fore in mirrorless!

Wow stopped watching when you said Nikon's menu system is more complex than Canon or Sony! Nikon menus and ergonomics are so far ahead of Canon and Sony it's a major reason I shoot with Nikons. They are the Apple of cameras. I bet you also use an android phone and shitty Korean hardware.
The complaint about having only one memory card is odd. I have been shooting weddings and other events, 600 to a thousand files sometimes with my D3 and D700. Although I set my D3 for overflow onto the second slot, I have never had that happen. The D700 also has only one card slot and never gave me a problem. I think its just a complaint from owners of newer cameras intended to attack the obvious high quality of Nikon and Canon.
I gotta say that having been a Nikon supporter for a very long time it's just impossible to to pick this product over the A7III. Has Nikon been asleep at the wheel?
No it is not and if you dont know from the beginning you shouldnt do reviews in the first place

If you were a videographer, which 4 hybrid cameras would you own? Secondly, as far as photography is concerned, do you think that the Z7 is better than the Z6? Doesn't the Z7 give you sharper and better image quality in video?

As usual your review is top. thank you...!!!., please, i need a bit of help to decide which one to choose between the Z 6 or Z 7....i just sold my Nikon d850....a fantastic camera but i decided that i need to travel light and small as possible that is why i just sold my Nikon 24-70mm VR ( very good but too heavy too...)i know here one is 24MP and the Z 7 46MP ( almost) but price difference is huge too....do you think that difference in quality is worth that $ 1.000....? ., i normally use for landscape and street photography and night street photo...i will appreciate your opinion!.Thank you! Hello, my friend! You got a Z6! Merry Christmas and happy New Year
Well, according to some people, you actually can apply settings for stills AF tracking. Menu A3 "Focus with lock on" set to Quick, Menu G4 "AF speed" set to +5 and apply to always, as opposed to just when recording. Menu G5 "AF sensitivity" set to high. These settings should dramatically improve AF speed and acuracy for stills shooting.

The z6 seems like the better camera compared to the eos r. But the eos r lens lineup is far superior. The adapters to EF mount are far better too. At least its not stupidly overpriced like the z7.
