my honest opinion , nikon fx dslrs with grips are chunky and comfy to wrap your hands around , i tried sony and a few others , but not having squirrely hands struggled not trying to un knot my fingers ,, the d850 is awesome for chunkier hands , with a higher viewfinder your not trying to shove the camera into your face so much as putting your face to the camera , as it should be ,

I bought a Nikon D810, I like it, but SKINTONE is terrible and maybe the developers will fix the error with firmware. Mistakes need to be corrected
I just bought one! I know it's kind of aging now in the world of mirrorless, but it's like driving a porsche, you love the rugged tough feel and mechanical aspect to it. Can't wait to try it out, this camera made me switch from Canon.

I know it's a little late, but do you have any RAW files of the pictures you were taking of the model shooting INTO the sun? I'd love to see how those came out. Shooting into the sun with a model is something I would like to work on.

This video is about 2.5 years old but I just wanted to say, because of Tim's advocacy, I just bought my D850. I'm still learning all about it (it's a bit intimidating), but REALLY excited. I sold my D7000 to help offset this purchase but couldn't be happier. Now, to get out into the field!

I found this camera because of some amazing landscape shots on Fstoppers. Would you say this is one of the best outdoor landscape camera's? If not, what would you recommend? Thank you
I believe the D850 and Z7 use the same Nikon sensor, which is measurably better than the Sony sensors most other brands use.
1:35 their feet were out of focus. They don't know how to use the f stop? But that what you get when you shot 1000 Fps instead of taking your time.

2 years later. Well I'm in Australia and that's my excuse. I'm a Johnny come lately to decent cameras, but happy I grabbed an 850. Trying to figure out why I grabbed a Nikon P1000 as well other than the excuse to my wife that its good for security on the farm 3000mm? Should I start a rumour that the 'Northrup 900' is due. With all that knowledge why not? Cheers from Australia.
Nikon doesn't have a 100mm 1.4 lense. That's 105mm I guess.

Good glass?...marketing crap again...over 50 years since when crappy lense? By camera cameras...according to who? Everybody have different uses and tastes. Most cameras get the job done...unless you get those $10 cheap on ebay or wish by 3rd parties.
