For the price, it is a great 'walkabout' lens. The focal range is really useful, it is sharp edge-to-edge with little vignetting and chromatic aberration on a full frame. It is also sturdy with a reassuring solid feel. I have it on my D810 most of the time, even though I also have the brilliant Nikon 14-24mm and the latest Nikon 70-00mm. The main minus point with this lens is, as he says, the barrel and pincushion distortion but, if you can afford Photoshop, you can correct it with this application.

I love this lens. I have already compared her raws to that of the 24-70 lens and they are the same. The difference is in the lens aperture. A great Nano Crystal lens.

Great video Chris and looking to upgrading from the Nikon D7100 to D750 with the 24-120 lens. I prefer natural light and I like how you just use the on camera flash to fill in the light. Very basic and does the job without all the fancy lighting.

Hi Chris. I have to choise between d750 with 24-120mm or d7500 with 16-80. The 2 kkts are on the same price yet 1899euro in Germany. I want to use it for portraits, landscape, street photography, specialy for xmass markets in Germany in low lights situation. Im not interested in shot birds, animals, sports. Later I want to shot weddings too. What should I buy?

The Nikon 24-120 is a great lens. I have many Nikon lenses, but this is the one used most on my d750. Great VR, and the 24-120 range is just right for me.
This is a cool BTS. You have a great camera, lens, and sense of posing, however, I would encourage you to work on your edits. At f/4, the bokeh isn't as blurry so you would have to remove distracting elements from the background. Let's take the shot at 13:48 for example, there's a bench and a car that should have been removed in post. I hope these words are encouraging. I'll be on the lookout for the next video.
Hopefully this Nikon D750 with 24-120 lens will be one off two purchases this weekend

A really useful 'walkabout' lens that is pin-sharp with little vignetting or chromatic aberration; much better than Nikon's previous model with the same range. I use it most of the time on a Nikon D810 as the focal length range covers most situations. Yes, it is large, and somewhat heavy, but has a reassuring soid feel. It's only drawback is barrel and pincushion distortion. If you can afford a programme like Photoshop, this can be ironed out. Recommended as an essential part of your kit.
Got this lens along with D750 both for &1799. Can't beat that !!

I am using old one 28-105mm f3.5-4.5 from Nikon! Being frank I am now on crossroads between 24mm-120 mm f4 or 24mm-70mm from Nikon! What would be solution still do not know! Thank you for this awesome video bringing in new understanding in which direction to move!
You forgot to mention the terrible distorsion at 24mm wide angle settings
My only complaint is distortion which seems to be in all zooms.
