Still thinking about which NIKON lens to get? Watch THIS: https://youtu.be/3Sl8KVTPnxs
Nice video and helpful for a student like me. Bravo 👏🏽
Can I use it for my nikon d300s
Trash lens
l'm about to buy this lens. The AF-P is not compatible with my older bodies.
Nah its not noisy at all, and focuses better than the Sigma, go figure
💯
Nikon 18-105 mm lens review? On nikon d5300?
spot on! thank you!
Because I know how to focus I know photography I can get a good low light shot with any lens. I really do like the.kit lens 18 55 mm dx lens though. It cheap but really does focusing good. I took it to a museum in Massillon ohio I took it to pro football Hall of fame canton ohio. I took low light shots it with really nice. Over all.i give it 8 out 10 . I also took it took photos hall of fame inside but the photo sharp. The quality cheap. It light. The lens is plastic
If you call it a kit lens then you're likely a Prosumer = spending $$$ on looks and convenience is more important to you than ability and value. Calling a lens 'kit lens' is dumb and misrepresents the 'value' of a given lens. The Nikon 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 is considered a 'low-value' lens because of this. Considering the 18-55mm is sharp, has vibration reduction (VR) and can be used on a full format (FX) body as a very capable 24-55mm 'VC lens', it surpasses many far more expensive FX lenses without VR. Yet, Prosumers will continue to call it a 'kit lens' and dismiss its value because.... Prosumers are idiots. Another great DX lens you can use on FX is the 35mm f1.8. You can also use the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 at 16mm!
Sorry I disagree - It's not even the best Nikon DX lens...
Nice practical review ! Hi from Canada .
Question. “Does it take good photos?” In the right hands with the right eyes, yes it does. “Does it get the shots I want?” Yes it does. It’s all in the eye, not in what it’s made from. Good photographers can get great results from a throwaway camera...
I hv shot...comet NEOWISE with this lens #stark_tech
I think it's a great lens, especially if you keep it at 18 mm with 3.5
Yes, get the earlier ED VR lens.
Bro i have the same lens an 18-55mm(without VR mode), idk it has been one year i think sometimes it works and sometimes it shows LENS NOT ATTACHED even though I've attached it correctly, and now it doesn't work anymore...it only work on MANUAL MODE that also i can't control the APERTURE, and it shows that it is a NON CPU LENS. how to fix it bro..please reply brother.😭
No kit lens is ever a peach. Lowest rung on the lens pile. I happen to own both the newer 16-55 mm f/3.5 - 5.6 and also the much older 17-55 f/2.8. And I'm telling you straight up that the much older, more expensive lens is 100 times better than the newish 16-55 mm f/3.5 - 5.6, which is a total piece of shit. The better one is much more solidly built, and the autofocus motor is the best design Nikon has ever created. Fortunately, there have been so many of them that the used market is full of them, and you can get that great lens for a fraction of the original new price. It's like buying a 55 Chevy, although it's hardly as well dated. Those piece of crap lenses are like buying tires which still use an inner tube.
Cool, thanks!
I'm one of many others who used to watched your channel wishing if you were a Nikon user... yet I enjoyed as others most third-party lenses as they available at both platforms... I saw others already suggesting other lenses and I would advise you to try the 35mm 1.8g DX (35mm on Dx is equivalent to the most classic nifty fifty on full frame) ... it is magnificent prime lense that is so light, small, cheap. Interestingly this some wedding photographers use it one full frame body where the limited vignetting gives artistic results...
Is it possible for you to review the AF-P 10-20mm DX? See whether it would be a good complement for the 35mm DX prime lens or one is better of with this lens instead
Can I make vids on it
My lens can't focus please help
l'm about to buy the AF-S VR ll version. The AF-P is not compatible with my older bodies.
Make more Nikkor lens reviews please ! ^^
So i use the afs vr gii version on my full frame d700 and its been quite the dream working from 24-55 which for how much it weighs makes it a great only lens for a light weight travel setup
I've being watching your videos for a while, Chris, but now that you FINALLY are reviewing Nikon lens, you just got my sub! I'm happy to see my Kit lens here hahahaha best regards from Brazil
So basically an f8-lens for good image quality, save for the corners in wide-angle. I actually like the Canon EF-M 15-45mm a lot more for what it is, because it has great image quality for landscape in wide-angle and reasonable center sharpness for portraits at tele.
Can you review two Tokina lens that seems to be awesome and you don't review yet? Tokina 100mm 2.8 AT-X PRO Macro - Very very recommended and one of the best macro lenses out there Tokina 14-20mm f2 for DX. I heard great thing about it / Fastest super-wide zoom for crop sensors. Thanks.
That cap flew off very efficiently 😁
It is interesting to see the only Nano Coatied DX and very expensive Nikon AF-S Nikkor DX 16-80mm F/2.8-4E ED VR up again the dirt cheap Sigma 17-50mm F/2.8.
I bought one of these some years ago and have been very pleased, stop down and avoid the widest setting (you don't have to go much above 18mm for much better results) it is a great travel lens (as is the 18-140). At well under £100 if you hunt around, great value. Bokeh is so passé ;-)
My 1st lens... 😁😁😁
Hi Chris. Love your videos. Great photos and solid information. Fun Nikon fact, they color balance all of their lenses to match. From the lowly 18-55 kit lens here, to the amazing 105mm f1.4G. Leica is the only other company that does this.
this was a great review, I hope you can get the nikon 35mm f1.8 G DX for review
Pls do a 70-300 afp nikon lens review
I like how he’s reviewing Nikon glass now. I’ve always waited for these.
Sharper than the Canon counterpart
Love how Chris made the video just a bit more educative because it's likely beginners will see it.
How to ficus infinity with that lens pls reply
man cool video then AF P over AF S
Please help me. I was thinking of buying Nikon D3500 or D5600. I am a beginner and I don't know much about cameras. I found out that the DX35mm 1.8 Nikkor prime lens will be ideal for low light and portraits but maybe this 18-55 is good as well? Please help me in choosing the right camera body and the lens. Thanks for helping me!!!
Hi I have a Nikon d5200 18-55mm afs kits lens. Can you suggest some telephoto lens with low budget and lens hood for kit lens
does the AF-P work with d3200 ? i thought it didn’t, but i’m new to cameras so
Worth. £40 ?
Bro the retro specs and jacket! You look cool 👍 Nice review as always.
What mode do you use when filming with nikon? Auto iso? Face tracking? AFF? I have d5300 afp 18-55 35mm 1.8g dx Boya by mm1
AFP!!!!
I really like the colors of your test-footage with the kit-lens! Did you grade it completely by your own or did you just basically color-correct it and then use a LUT? :)
Really enjoy your videos bro ! You have helped me learn so much and I understand my Nikon like a boss now !!! Just busy saving up for my Sigma 17-55mm 🔥🙌🏻
I dont have same camera and can't even find the exact camera I have I don't got it from a family member, x
What's the name of the intro and beginners on this camera? Can it be used for YouTube? Love from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
I think izzy is a character in gortimmer gibbons
is it full frame?
does it shoot video for longer than 10 minutes?
Good video, was very helpful but I think I can hear like 5 different fans in the background
Can you suggest a telephoto lense? Im goin to birding activities
how to change aspect ratio in nikon d 5500 .. plz anyone help
It is a pity that such a great video only has 121 010 views as I saw it for the second time. I am going on a vacation and am not yet ready to discard my trusty D5500 (even though it has been discontinued by Nikon). Thanks ever so much for all the effort put into making it, and thanks for all the reminders of the menu system ... that I had forgotten.
Regarding the Screen info section around 46 minutes: How come when I adjust the shutter speed or F stop the EXPOSURE meter does not move or give me advice to tell me if i am over exposed or under exposed?
If I can video taping a speaker giving a presentation. How long can I video tape before it stops? 30 minutes? 20 minutes? And what should I do? Quickly press record again? Also for a presentation. should I do 30 fps or 24fps?
Then Scandisk is better than lexmar
Love his voice. Reminds me of Good Fellows or Casino movies.
How can I turn OFF the bracketing?
I have lost my eye viewfinder display as a result of adjusting setting. How do I restore the display in the viewfinder?
When i record a video, there is no sound. Help
You can get geolocation data from the Nikon Snapbridge app through bluetoooth when you link the camera to your smartphone or tablet
Thank you for this, even as an advanced user I watched this from the beginning and found it very helpful, thanks for sharing.
Can someone put the subtitles in Spanish? It is the only video that explains in detail the functions of the Nikon D5500. *This comment was written with Google Translator.*
Ok, This video worked ok. You repeated some stuffs like 3 times (effects for example) but was OK.
