For me this lens is not a good option, I bought it thinking that i will have not the best experience but it will be ok and for my trips should be the best option, but i have to say that i really hate it, no definition, the sky always appears white, big distorsion from 18-35mm, I have now it on my D7500 and im trying to sell it and go for the 18-200m

I came for the photos.I stayed for the music. On a serious note, it would be more helpful to show the aperture as well as the zoom. I’m interested in the depth of field.
Sir ur both video of zooming test is very very very good sir. Ur video shows me perfect zoom at every mm point. I want a another zooming test video on nikon 200-500mm lens, pls sir i want to see that zoom and appreciate to buy right product for me.

I have been wanting to purchase a lens for my camera for years but the price has always been my hang up. When I saw this one, I was skeptical because it was so much less expensive. Let me tell you, I should not have been hesitant! This is a great lens, for a great price. I use it to shoot surf shots from the pier and the beach, it has really made a big difference in the shots I am able to get! Would totally recommend.

I have owned this lens since 2010 and have got good results with it and usually stop it down from 5.6 to nearly f8 , unlike it newer update it will still work with my D90 but it spends most of its time on my D7000 with more af points and it is also FX , so no plans to upgrade it .
This is a great lens for anyone on a budget, but I must say that people easily get confused about which one to get. Nikon makes different versions and even a friend I recommended this to accidentally bought the wrong one. You have to make sure you get the one in this video and not the newer one or older one. This one! LOL

OKheads up! The 70-300mm lens does NOT have the same reach as the lens from the Nikon Coolpix L340!

Did you just call that $600 lens "very affordable"? You know, not everyone has that budget.
I bought this lens a few months ago and it struggles to focus when the light is just a little low. It's a good walk around or travel lens on a sunny day, but in the bush on a cloudy day, it struggles.
