Nikon D3500 vs Canon 1500D ?
WHAT $300 camera!!!! lol it's twice that on Amazon right now. best buy too
i haven't been into photography for all that long, maybe a few months or so, but honestly, just having those moments where im able to block everything out, slow down, and capture beautiful images, its not only satisfying but it frees the mind, it makes you feel appreciative for what you have around you, that normally, people just pass by on.
photography has changed my view on life in that little amount of time and honestly i think im ready for more.
I'm a beginner to cameras & I wanna make this my hobby & also wanna make this as an income source. My budget is 700-800$. I want a camera that's good for everything, like an all rounder. Which camera do u recommend?
I need one dslr camera for sport live like football basketball. Which camera you advise me for a low budget jnder 1k$
So if I was to get a 100-300 zoom lens will this camera autofocus that lens or would I have to manual focus...
Just ordered after watching the video, now need to setup and get started!
I'm want this camera, but in New Zealand it's $800 bucks, which is pretty expensive (for me, someone who doesnt work)
Taking a long shot here as I’ve only just started researching photography/cameras and have already watched almost all your videos-absolutely love them and how thorough you are! Would love to get your opinion-I am an avid hiker in South Africa who loves taking photos on my phone to document the incredible flowers and landscapes (for myself)-sometimes involving the coast and/or waterfalls in the forest. Have recently realised that these pictures aren’t actually very good, especially when trying to zoom in. So I’m only now looking at a proper camera and only through your videos have I found out about aperture/ISO/shutter speed etc which I’d love to learn more about through practical use. So I’m a real beginner with no real intention to be a professional but would love to get high quality photos of the extreme beauty I encounter while hiking. Based on this would you still recommend the Nikon D3500 for me or is there a better camera suited to my hiking needs? Thank you SO very much!
is this better than Canon 200d ?
AND I GOT MYSELF A SONY A6000😂
Not sure if anyone of follow these comments. But how is this same camera $600+ now?
i'm a Pantie photographer, this camera is perfect for macro photos
Would you still suggest buying it on July 2021? I'm looking for my 1st camera to get into photography, not extreme things or fast action. Got pretty confused reading about how dslr is "dead" and mirroless is the future but i find their price to be out of control at the moment. A mirrorless that cost 250 euros last year is now sold at ~500. Don't know if i want to spend that much just to see if i like the hobby. Do you have any other suggestion?
Bonne quality mais vraiment trop lent.
Thanks for reviewing 😀
So it's not good for wedding photography?
Every video is talking about how great this camera is but, every image I see is fuzzy.
It's like the emperor has no clothes.
Great review... I got one today (6/3/2021) I'm just wondering how I can down load the pictures/Movies to my computer?
How are all these models so cheap where y’all live💀? Maybe I’m not searching good enough, but here in the Netherlands the 18-55 mm kit starts at around €420...
I have watched tons of videos.. But this one is just soo detailed and point to point.. No bullshit what's ever.. I really thanks creator for the video and effort he puts in
I started with a D3000 I got for $400.00 just as it was being discontinued. First upgrade was a 70-200 5.6? lens. Just shooting in auto or portrait mode I got lots of compliments. Now I have worked my way up to a D850 and still learning. Enjoy your videos. Always good to go back and relearn basic stuff.
It is not so cheap any more.
Jared is an excellent communicator/teacher
Better sensor + better glass = best images. Go together like a horse and carriage great glass with a poor sensor won't get good photos. * Used prices are about the same as new because this camera is a tremendous value and is very popular.
Just a point for any people new to photography regarding 'plastic' lenses and Jared's expression "Glass, glass, glass!"
Pro photographers (and wannabe ones) always call their lenses 'glass'. It's cool slang for anything that lets light into your camera. He means that you should give maximum priority to your lenses when trying to improve your photography. Lens quality MATTERS.
It's like an estate agent saying "Location, location, location!" when giving advice about your next house purchase. Worry about the international airport next door, not what colour the garden gate's been painted.
So what's the 'plastic' thing all about? Jared does NOT mean that only pro lenses have internal optical elements made from glass and that all others are made from murky toy-grade plastic or the soft stuff they make prescription spectacles or contact lenses from.
Generally speaking, all DSLR lenses from the 'big names' (Canon, Fuji, Nikon, Sony, Zeiss, given in alphabetical order to avoid hate) have optical elements made from various types and grades of glass. I know there are some exceptions; bear with me, please.
The difference between cheapo kit lenses and 'pro' ones is that the latter have optical elements that are formed, figured, assembled, and tested to an extremely high standard. This high precision work is expensive, hence the shocking prices and the demonstrably superior results.
A kit lens will have much lower grade optics, probably fewer corrective elements, and will be assembled to a lower, cheaper standard. BUT it'll still be made from optical-grade glass, and capable of giving excellent results within limited parameters.
The derogatory term 'plastic' refers to the tube/ body of the lens, not to its internal optical elements. A kit lens will use high quality plastic for the outside of the body. It's light, cheap, rugged, and cheap. Also, cheap. And cheap. But some people loathe the word 'plastic', especially where money's involved.
So a genuine pro photographer, paying 10 or 20 times as much for his 'glass' will expect a proper metal-bodied unit, to match his £5,000+ metal-bodied camera.
Because it's metal. Value for money, right? METAL!!! Only picnic cutlery and toys are made from plastic. (Er, and £2,000,000 hypercars and £150,000,000 super-yachts and £400,000,000 jet airliners, but never mind that...)
A warm-to-the-touch kit lens feels flimsy and insubstantial in comparison with a cold, hard, manly, metal-bodied one, but that's because it's got a lightweight moulded shell and not a precision-turned aluminium-alloy one. The internal elements will still be glass, just not such good glass.
I thought it might be worth mentioning this in case peeps thought they were buying a crummy toy when choosing an entry-level DSLR camera. Relax. You're not. No manufacturer would want to tarnish its reputation by turning out garbage.
IMPORTANT BIT: The optical elements in some phones, compact- and throw-away cameras ARE made from clear plastic. Also, some DSLR lenses (including serious professional ones from world-class manufacturers) contain plastic [resin] corrective internal elements, too, but these are highly specialised, top quality, and hideously expensive.
The point I wanted to make about 'plastic' kit lenses was that they're still full of glass and still called 'glass'; it's their outer tubes that are plastic.
DISCLOSURE: I started out in the 1970s with a Zenit film camera. Still got it, plus loads of ancient 'glass', as well as a modest digital SLR [D3300]. I also spent many years making and figuring telescope optics - mirrors up to 18" and objectives up to 6" - by hand. Now that you know that, you can dismiss me as a worthless, ignorant lightweight and get on with addressing your photography gear-envy issues...😁
I thought this camera has not wifi
I just purchased the Nikon - D3500 DSLR Video Two Lens Kit with AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR & AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED - Black for my travel business. Do you think I made a great choice?

Great advice, it's all about the lenses.

I don´t think you are a good photographer based on this video.. I´m sorry. No offense though, but maybe another job would be good?

The best display of energy and simple instruction on how to use this camera! I am impressed and I am not an amateur. Good presenter I will be following.
The Tamron G2 70-200 that you recommended... Says that it is for a full-frame camera. Will it work with the DX. D3500?
