Brilliant review! Unlike others are stupid only make sample pics without sample video! Thanks!
The problem is it doesn’t have lens hood.
Which is best? 4,5-5,6 or this?
It's like Jose Mourinho giving a lens review 😁😁
In this lense used for nikon d3500?

What portrait lens is the best for nikon d3300 please give me idea
Is it compatible with nikon d3300?

Does this lens work well on the 3500?
amazing stuff 🎯
Love in kamera
Does this lens have auto focus? I don't speak English and I don't understand anything about the video
this or the 55-200mm f4-5.6 vr?
I have exactly this lens, and sometimes it disapoints me. It has problems with focusing, so usually I must switch into manual focus. Even then I have no guarantee It wil create sharp image with VR. The second thing, it's dark with this F4,5 and 58mm wide front.
I have one like that, too
vr with this lens is amazing, get very sharp shots at 10/1000 with still subjects at 300mm
is it compatible with Nikon D3500?
I'm one of many others who used to watched your channel wishing if you were a Nikon user... yet I enjoyed as others most third-party lenses as they available at both platforms... I saw others already suggesting other lenses and I would advise you to try the 35mm 1.8g DX (35mm on Dx is equivalent to the most classic nifty fifty on full frame) ... it is magnificent prime lense that is so light, small, cheap. Interestingly this some wedding photographers use it one full frame body where the limited vignetting gives artistic results...
Is it possible for you to review the AF-P 10-20mm DX? See whether it would be a good complement for the 35mm DX prime lens or one is better of with this lens instead
Can I make vids on it
My lens can't focus please help
l'm about to buy the AF-S VR ll version. The AF-P is not compatible with my older bodies.
Make more Nikkor lens reviews please ! ^^
So i use the afs vr gii version on my full frame d700 and its been quite the dream working from 24-55 which for how much it weighs makes it a great only lens for a light weight travel setup
I've being watching your videos for a while, Chris, but now that you FINALLY are reviewing Nikon lens, you just got my sub! I'm happy to see my Kit lens here hahahaha best regards from Brazil
So basically an f8-lens for good image quality, save for the corners in wide-angle. I actually like the Canon EF-M 15-45mm a lot more for what it is, because it has great image quality for landscape in wide-angle and reasonable center sharpness for portraits at tele.
Can you review two Tokina lens that seems to be awesome and you don't review yet? Tokina 100mm 2.8 AT-X PRO Macro - Very very recommended and one of the best macro lenses out there Tokina 14-20mm f2 for DX. I heard great thing about it / Fastest super-wide zoom for crop sensors. Thanks.
That cap flew off very efficiently 😁
It is interesting to see the only Nano Coatied DX and very expensive Nikon AF-S Nikkor DX 16-80mm F/2.8-4E ED VR up again the dirt cheap Sigma 17-50mm F/2.8.
I bought one of these some years ago and have been very pleased, stop down and avoid the widest setting (you don't have to go much above 18mm for much better results) it is a great travel lens (as is the 18-140). At well under £100 if you hunt around, great value. Bokeh is so passé ;-)
My 1st lens... 😁😁😁
Hi Chris. Love your videos. Great photos and solid information. Fun Nikon fact, they color balance all of their lenses to match. From the lowly 18-55 kit lens here, to the amazing 105mm f1.4G. Leica is the only other company that does this.
this was a great review, I hope you can get the nikon 35mm f1.8 G DX for review
Pls do a 70-300 afp nikon lens review
I like how he’s reviewing Nikon glass now. I’ve always waited for these.
Sharper than the Canon counterpart
Love how Chris made the video just a bit more educative because it's likely beginners will see it.

Does the 18-300mm come with as lens shade? I didn’t see one on your lens
I noticed in your metadata your ISO was constantly changing.. Did you do that or does the camera body have that capability if you are shooing in aperture or shutter priority? Thanks
Superb review , Watch this 18-300 demo https://youtu.be/ox8hzjwHcng
I’m thinking about getting this for my d7500, thoughts?
This version (f/3.5-6.3) is the better of the 2 Nikon developed. The f/3.5-5.6 version I had was soft and weighed heavy on the neck. I couldn't wait to trade it for this one.
Just rewatched this one. As usual, it inspires me to go shoot random things and find beauty in the details. I have a question, though: what do you use to "colorpop" your images. I know Photoshop can isolate a certain color, but you have some that isolate an object with all its colors and leave the rest monotone.
Hello, this seems like an good lens, if you can deal with warping issues on small zoom sizes. However I am still undecided between this and the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED. It seem this AF-S DX NIKKOR has better aperture, minimum focus distance and quieter. Which one do you feel has better telephoto zoom quality in final shots, esp in middle and 300mm? I am a high entry level user using 5600. Esp as £200 of difference.
Lens hood an optional accessory. Do you think you need one as you did not have one in the video
I found an 18-300mm Sigma compatible with my Canon EOS 4000D. Ought to get some great shots of my hummingbirds on my 4 acre paradise of woods and marsh in southwest Michigan. I loved those railroad pictures, by the way.
Sorry only a question, can I use it with a nikon D90 ? thanks a lot
I am very much interested of watching yor videos ❤. All of your videos are very helpful for me.. Love from India 🇮🇳❤
As a rusted on Canon user (Sorry Nikon/Nikkor) this is the best all round lens I have ever had. I got some brilliant shots with this lens on both a Nikon D700 and D810, yes Fx. To go from close up at 18 mm or 30mm on Fx to 300mm is fantastic. In mho the most understand lens in digital history.
The older 18-300 is 3.5 to 5.6. whereas the newer one you reviewed is 3.5 to 6.3. Nikon also says it has four stop better VR and it is 10 ounces lighter; but do you think that the newer lens would make much of a difference in real-world shooting? The GXO mark is 19 vs 17, newer to older. I can get the older lens for $300 less!
Since the demo camera is a more modern type body the 18 300 would fit great on my d5600
The auto focusing speed may depends on the technology used. The kit lens uses AF-P which uses a stepper motor to move the lenses back and forth without rotating the actual barrel. This makes it so much faster and quieter. The 18-300 lens uses the old AF-S technology where its actually turns the barrel as if you're turning it by hand. This is much slower and louder.
How about picture quality? Is it as good as nikon 18-140mm lens?
Hi I need an help. I own a D7200 with a 16-80, 70-300 IF ED VR, a 35 DX and a 50 AF-D. When i bought the camera it was in kit with the 18-140mm which i used in very fews occasions. With my set of lenses, that 18-140 is "useless", so i were thinking to replace it with the neewer version of 18-300 (the f/3.5-6.3). It could give me the chance to have a single all around lens in daylight situation where a i can't/won't carry all the equipment (eg. on beach with child). Based on your experiences, immage quality is so far from 18-140mm? I'm not a pixelpeeper but i use to see immages from my better lenses and so i fear 18-300 is too much far from them. Coud you give me a suggestion? TNX. Regards from Italy. Giuseppe.-
Thnk you, i think this video really help me a lot because i've been thinking of buying this lens..anyway, i got all the answers that i need regarding this lens, so keep it up on creating a video like this in the future..
Very interesting on this type of lens, and photos.
