Make more Nikkor lens reviews please ! ^^
So i use the afs vr gii version on my full frame d700 and its been quite the dream working from 24-55 which for how much it weighs makes it a great only lens for a light weight travel setup
I've being watching your videos for a while, Chris, but now that you FINALLY are reviewing Nikon lens, you just got my sub! I'm happy to see my Kit lens here hahahaha best regards from Brazil
So basically an f8-lens for good image quality, save for the corners in wide-angle. I actually like the Canon EF-M 15-45mm a lot more for what it is, because it has great image quality for landscape in wide-angle and reasonable center sharpness for portraits at tele.
Can you review two Tokina lens that seems to be awesome and you don't review yet? Tokina 100mm 2.8 AT-X PRO Macro - Very very recommended and one of the best macro lenses out there Tokina 14-20mm f2 for DX. I heard great thing about it / Fastest super-wide zoom for crop sensors. Thanks.
That cap flew off very efficiently 😁
It is interesting to see the only Nano Coatied DX and very expensive Nikon AF-S Nikkor DX 16-80mm F/2.8-4E ED VR up again the dirt cheap Sigma 17-50mm F/2.8.
I bought one of these some years ago and have been very pleased, stop down and avoid the widest setting (you don't have to go much above 18mm for much better results) it is a great travel lens (as is the 18-140). At well under £100 if you hunt around, great value. Bokeh is so passé ;-)
My 1st lens... 😁😁😁
Hi Chris. Love your videos. Great photos and solid information. Fun Nikon fact, they color balance all of their lenses to match. From the lowly 18-55 kit lens here, to the amazing 105mm f1.4G. Leica is the only other company that does this.
this was a great review, I hope you can get the nikon 35mm f1.8 G DX for review
Pls do a 70-300 afp nikon lens review
I like how he’s reviewing Nikon glass now. I’ve always waited for these.
Sharper than the Canon counterpart
Love how Chris made the video just a bit more educative because it's likely beginners will see it.
Oh, everyone were furious when I tested this lens and compared the sharpness with Fujinon XF 18-55, angry Fuji fanboys could not accept that their "best kit lens" is as sharp or even less sharp at is wide end than this cheap plastic Nikkor.
Ken Rockwell’s favourite lens... kidding, I started with this lens and it’s great.
As a Nikon user, I would like to request you please review more and more Nikon DLSR lens. You're reviews are like Benchmark for lens testing. And in Youtube there is no such YouTube channel who reviews this much. I have been your channels subscriber since 2016. You're doing extremely well. _ Thanks for your vidoes.
The hidden gem is the 70-300 DX VR. This lens is strong but not a gem. It's secret use now is as a cheap video lens for Z cameras as its focusing motor is quiet and provides a super useful range.
It's subtle, but I like how you go into slightly more detail on basic things when reviewing a lens aimed at people that may not know very well what they're doing or looking for.
I TOTALLY love the D3400 2 lens kit!!!!!! 🥰
How many shutter are there in this camera?
How do you set up Nikon SB-700 speed light with Nikon D3300?
Thanks, that was very useful for a complete beginner like me
The HAND appears on the screen on my Nikon D3300 screen. And the camera is taking all shaky pictures. Can anyone help me?
THANK YOUUUUUU!!!!!!!
i don't have the VR option on my lease... why is that?
Mlih
Very helpful video, thanks for the help.
Maine bhi le liya dslr
Hi to one and all. As a beginner. I got the D3300. With a 18/55 lens. That I use for family photo's. But. I enjoy taking photos of Landscape. So my question is. Wot type of Lens. Should I use. So that I can zoom in. At a distance. And take good clear photo's. Many thanks for your help.
NOT RECOMMENDED PRODUCT - I CHANGE MY CANON TO NIKON AND NIKON BROKE WITHIN 1 YEAR, BUT THERE WAS CHRISTMASS AND NEW YEAR ETC PERIOD, AND LITTLEBIT LATER I WAS ABLE TO SENDING BACK THESE ITEM FOR WARRANTY REPAIR (regularly these item have 1 year lifetime - many people complaining and many people have same problem - ENGLISH SITE WANTED REPAIR ON BRAND NEW CAMERA PRICE - ROBBERY - CRIMINALS!)

I have d7500 i shud go with 18-55 or 50mm?
very suck lens
What is the optimal stop range of this lens? I mean I have tried smaller apertures about f/8 but they do not yield very good results. I think at a push I would not go above f/12. I've also had issues when I go lower than f/5.6. Perhaps I bought a dud...
Will this lense fit Nikon D40? I heard the VR may not.
How do you focus it, im having a hard time with mine.
Hopefully, you get a chance to see this. Is there a way to set a D7500 to be on continuous focus in video mode? I can't seem to get this. I have to keep pressing the button halfway to refocus if I moved the camera unlike in picture mode where it automatically refocuses on the new subject. I appreciate any help.
Canon ef-s 18-55mm is STM is much more better. NO noise absolutely
This lens can be found for about $80-$90 new and is a remarkably good lens for that kind of price. I do not do much video with what I believe to be a stills camera, that is my D5600. Focus with this lens is really quick and image quality I would rate as very good. Giving a 35mm focal length equivalent of 27-82.5 mm this is one really handy lens to have and you can take lots of different scenes with it. I have a UV(0) filter that I keep on mine all the time to protect the lens which cost about half as much as the lens itself and a circular polariser for when I want that. Remember to use good cameraman techniques when using these “lesser” lenses and you’ll be surprised by the results. The Alabamie Kid.

Will it work on Nikon B600?
a chinese boy with a american flag obsession
So my conclusion after watching your video is that I should be using Manual Focus for videos but when taking photos Auto Focus is fine?
Between this lens or a 10-20 mm which one is better?
The beauty of this lens is that it produces good image quality across a handy focal length and is a super lightweight, compact all round lens - excellent for walk around photos, at home, friends, relatives, street photography, landscapes - without lugging a heavy lens on an already heavy camera body. Super quiet auto focus works excellently for stills but not so good for movie close ups.
Thanks you soooo much I have D3400 and 18/55 been killing myself to learn photography but when I see all nice shots and stuffs not done with what I have I get disappointed ☹️ but now I have a clear understanding that I need to upgrade lens and camara to get those pictures

...reason I'm here is that I was looking for signs of "criticisms" of these lenses by Nikon...because...I have come to the "sad suspicion" that there may be no "perfect" units of this particular lens to be found...at all? I have the latest, AF-P version and it seemed good, although the VR wasn't as "striking" as I remember from my first 18-55 years ago, but, it seems to work (...I tested carefully) But what is a serious defect is that the lens won't focus perfectly and – importantly – uniformly... THIS would be the result if lens elements simply aren't aligned to absolute perfection... This will also result in another artifact – loss of geometric linearity... So you will have BOTH partial loss of focus AND non-linear geometry as a result of mis-alignment.... This is such a pity – the assembly of the product deprives it from the promise of its – very sophisticated – lens elements...Botched assembly renders ALL the exquisite parts "useless" as a total... Can it be fixed..? – ...no...the only solution is replacement. But will Nikon do that...? – I fear not – they will take lens, "test" it and respond with the statement that "the lens performs within our specifications" and they will not "repair" and they will most likely not replace either.... So all the lenses you find sold as "refurbished"....you should assume they are all slightly defect. Would the average person detect what I found as I processed images....in most cases probably not... I will contact seller, but it's more than 90 days after purchase, so seller won't help either... So the promise of this lens is great...the reality is "not great"....
I'm having a problem where the lenses only works before it goes into the 18-55mm... Area? So between locking it and 18 mm it works. Otherwise everything is blurry and the camera won't let me take a picture
Please help me, i have this lens with nikon d3300, but i can't do the autofocus by automaticaly while recording.
Still thinking about which NIKON lens to get? Watch THIS: https://youtu.be/3Sl8KVTPnxs
Nah its not noisy at all, and focuses better than the Sigma, go figure
💯
Nikon 18-105 mm lens review? On nikon d5300?
spot on! thank you!
Because I know how to focus I know photography I can get a good low light shot with any lens. I really do like the.kit lens 18 55 mm dx lens though. It cheap but really does focusing good. I took it to a museum in Massillon ohio I took it to pro football Hall of fame canton ohio. I took low light shots it with really nice. Over all.i give it 8 out 10 . I also took it took photos hall of fame inside but the photo sharp. The quality cheap. It light. The lens is plastic
If you call it a kit lens then you're likely a Prosumer = spending $$$ on looks and convenience is more important to you than ability and value. Calling a lens 'kit lens' is dumb and misrepresents the 'value' of a given lens. The Nikon 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 is considered a 'low-value' lens because of this. Considering the 18-55mm is sharp, has vibration reduction (VR) and can be used on a full format (FX) body as a very capable 24-55mm 'VC lens', it surpasses many far more expensive FX lenses without VR. Yet, Prosumers will continue to call it a 'kit lens' and dismiss its value because.... Prosumers are idiots. Another great DX lens you can use on FX is the 35mm f1.8. You can also use the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 at 16mm!
Sorry I disagree - It's not even the best Nikon DX lens...
Nice practical review ! Hi from Canada .
Question. “Does it take good photos?” In the right hands with the right eyes, yes it does. “Does it get the shots I want?” Yes it does. It’s all in the eye, not in what it’s made from. Good photographers can get great results from a throwaway camera...
I hv shot...comet NEOWISE with this lens #stark_tech
I think it's a great lens, especially if you keep it at 18 mm with 3.5
Yes, get the earlier ED VR lens.
Bro i have the same lens an 18-55mm(without VR mode), idk it has been one year i think sometimes it works and sometimes it shows LENS NOT ATTACHED even though I've attached it correctly, and now it doesn't work anymore...it only work on MANUAL MODE that also i can't control the APERTURE, and it shows that it is a NON CPU LENS. how to fix it bro..please reply brother.😭
No kit lens is ever a peach. Lowest rung on the lens pile. I happen to own both the newer 16-55 mm f/3.5 - 5.6 and also the much older 17-55 f/2.8. And I'm telling you straight up that the much older, more expensive lens is 100 times better than the newish 16-55 mm f/3.5 - 5.6, which is a total piece of shit. The better one is much more solidly built, and the autofocus motor is the best design Nikon has ever created. Fortunately, there have been so many of them that the used market is full of them, and you can get that great lens for a fraction of the original new price. It's like buying a 55 Chevy, although it's hardly as well dated. Those piece of crap lenses are like buying tires which still use an inner tube.
Cool, thanks!
You get the wide vide good lens
Yep my new cam no A/M on the lens :(
thnks bro watching this vid means a lot to me. im using kitlens as well same nikon d 5200 im new to photography.. still learning the basics of videography and photography.. godbless and im a new subscriber
This lens stayed on my d7100 used for work, a very versatile and competent lens: but the other con about it is the plastic mount. Never pick a camera up by this or any other lens - my mount broke and now causes random errors making it unusable.
